Lime di Sicilia Ortigia Eau de Parfum

Lime di Sicilia is pure lemon, sharp and zesty. It bursts in with a fanfare and grabs your nose with a bold, slightly raw freshness.

On the skin, it keeps that tonic edge. I would’ve liked a hint of white flowers to round it out, to tame the acidity a bit, but it sticks to its citrus character without compromise.

That said, there’s a small surprise: a soft, powdery base that gently smooths the initial sting. As if, behind the peel, a discreet caress dared to soften the zest.

An honest scent, then - unpretentious, straightforward - though for my personal taste, it could’ve been just a touch softer.

A start with beautiful ripe fruity lime and orange leaning towards bitterness with spicy woods.
There is no artificial citrus sharpness or supernatural sweetness. A hint of spicy vanilla and floral notes. Fragrantica suggests lime blossom, which I cannot place or identify.
Essentially, this scent impression lasts 4-5 hours and ends with a spicy heavy wood note, leaning towards incense.

Longevity 4-5 hours, sillage medium: a citrus fragrance very well balanced between fruit and spice.

Besides the almond scent, I wanted to try Sicilian Lime as well. However, I was already afraid that this fragrance wouldn't really suit my taste.

Anyone expecting something fresh from this citrus scent will be pleasantly surprised by a considerable sweetness. The opening still has a hint of freshness, but it is quickly sweetened by what I find to be lemon and orange blossoms. The lemon tree oil adds a strange note that gives the fragrance a slightly bitter undertone.

The longevity is rather mediocre at about 3 - 4 hours, but with scents of this theme, one often likes to reapply.

Conclusion: not overwhelming, but just not my thing.
