Polished, but Empty

Florio is a fresh floral fragrance, yes, but also a bit basic. At first, it smells nice - light, pleasant - but as time goes on, it starts to turn a bit synthetic, almost artificial.

It lacks that special something that makes a fragrance truly memorable. The bottle is gorgeous, the packaging even more refined, but unfortunately, that won't be enough to make up for the scent in my eyes.

A fragrance that feels like a pretty package with no real substance.

Fresh Laundry in the Wind of Days Gone By

Florio Eau de Parfum is a perfume from the Sicilian brand Ortigia, which creates scents from natural ingredients that reflect the region.
In my opinion, the fragrances from this manufacturer are consistently rated too poorly on Parfumo.
All the scents from Ortigia that I have smelled share their dry, nature-inspired character - whether it is the dry wood of Sandalo Eau de Parfum or the greenish, dry fig composition of Fico d'India Eau de Parfum.
I do not know how the fragrances are ultimately crafted. However, they simply come across as authentic and reminiscent of nature.
Is the idea behind Florio Eau de Parfum groundbreaking? No.
Is the association with fresh laundry accurate? Yes. Ultimately, fresh laundry is supposed to smell floral. And that is exactly what Florio Eau de Parfum does.
But it is a special scent. This fragrance is a dry, nature-inspired interpretation that captivates with its simplicity.
Personally, I envision this scent as reminiscent of how the inhabitants of a village in earlier times would bring their fresh laundry outside and hang it to dry on flowery hills and meadows.
