Dubai chocolate without chocolate
The Dubai chocolate hype is slowly spilling over into the perfume industry.
"Pistachio Kunafa Dubai Chocolate | Oudh Al Anfar" is now the second fragrance that goes in this direction that I have been able to test recently.
But does the Anfar really smell like Dubai chocolate? The fragrance definitely doesn't smell authentically like the hyped chocolate.
With a little imagination, you can recognize similarities in the air, but the most important thing is missing here, the "chocolate".
It is listed here, but you can't smell it.
What I perceive is clearly the nut and that from the opening onwards.
In my perception, it is slightly roasted nuts.
Caramel gives the fragrance its sweetness, but I don't think the caramel has been authentically achieved, although I can still perceive it with a lot of imagination.
In the DD, the pistachios that are already listed in the opening are more perceptible.
The fragrance is sweet, but not too sweet.
I smell something that smells like fresh milk, but I don't know what it is.
I find the fragrance slightly lactonic.
It remains nutty, sweet but not too sweet, slightly caramelly and subtly lactonic.
I wait in vain for the chocolate until the end.
It's a shame, because with "Dubai Chocolate" you expect a fragrance with chocolate.
Towards the end, it becomes less sweet and a little powdery, individual notes are difficult or even impossible to recognize at this stage.
H/S rather moderate, the fragrance lives from the sillage more than from the radiance I have the feeling.
So the performance is not bad, but not good either.
Unisex ? Too feminine ? I would say unisex with a tendency towards feminine (W60%/40%M).
My conclusion: I will probably not buy a bottle, unfortunately the theme was missed here.
I would like to thank my favorite parfuma Peppermint who provided me with the fragrance to test.
So I could try it without having to spend any money.
It's really not bad, but somehow I'm missing something here where I would say wow I just have to have it.
But the fragrance is definitely unique, not a dupe for me, I've never smelled anything like it.
