Million Gold Elixir: A Gourmand Explosion
The initial burst is sweet, with tangerine appearing with that freshness and slight acidic edge wrapped in a creamy vanilla ice cream that arrives and never leaves. The base is lined with sandalwood, which gives that warm, sensual comfort, prolonging the feeling of coziness. And just like with wine, too much vanilla tends to cloy and overpower everything, ending up as a common place similar to so many others. Age makes me seek definition and aromatic freshness, and in the world of perfumes, it couldn't be different. With projection and duration well above average, it follows the adolescent/young vibe of those who like to make their mark and leave their stamp, at parties or outings with friends. Suitable for colder weather.

A Gentle, Sensual Elixir
If I’d had a say in the olfactory pyramid, I would’ve slipped in a dash of spice and just a hint of ambergris.

This Elixir is spicy and fresh at once, the mandarin keeping things bright. The vanilla and sandalwood bring a creamy, enveloping sensation. And as it dries down, the woody facet becomes increasingly pronounced.

Familiar territory, perhaps, but done right, and with undeniable charm. I passed the sample on to my husband, and I’ll take great pleasure in smelling it on him.

Not all flankers are bad, and I’d even say this one is particularly pleasant...

He came late, but triumphed
Innocently, I lingered in the pedestrian zone and browsed through the shops. I saw the little highlighter in the fragrance shelf "now new".

I was somewhat surprised; I have seen this thing many times before. The original Million Gold appeals to me when I spray it, but then it develops a bit away from my expectations.
Upon a second look, I see the orange inlay in the chain link.

So I sprayed it on.
I rarely smell all the notes in a fragrance, but here a subtle dried mandarin opens, followed by sandalwood and vanilla.
This scent becomes a bit warmer or "more sandalwoody" for me after about 15 minutes and then lingers unchanged for around 7-9 hours on my skin.

In my eyes, it is directly the warmest and best from the Million series.

It is the first fragrance in a long time that is neither exciting nor boring. I could smell it every day, but I don’t have to smell it every day.
It is not a striking scent, but a very, very successful one and for me, very versatile to wear.
Summer when it’s not too warm, office, going out, dining.

It also joins the small group of fragrances where I was directly asked about the name of the scent.
It won’t knock anyone over, but my goodness, this flanker is solid and well-made.

Not all that glitters is gold...
I still had a sample of Million Gold Elixir and I thought, why not test it? I didn't expect much and only anticipated the usual overdosed sweetness.

It wasn't quite that extreme after all. This fruity vanilla mix with a certain creaminess was quite okay. Well, either way, it's no longer "my" DNA. Back in my youth, I used to enjoy wearing such perfumes. As long as it was relatively sweet/synthetic and overloaded.

Therefore, I don't want to speak badly of this creation, but it simply isn't my thing anymore and is aimed at a different target audience.

In short: I've outgrown this phase (44) and am too deep into the perfume bubble. Accordingly, this scent wouldn't convince me to make a purchase.

Even if it's a bar... not all that glitters is gold.

Overly Present. One-Dimensional. Coconut Water Sweetness.
One Million Gold Elixir starts with a sweetly pleasing opening that initially feels pleasant. Warm, fruity, and typical of the One Million DNA. However, this first impression does not last long, as the fragrance quickly solidifies and shifts into a distinctly penetrating coconut water-like direction.

From about the tenth minute, a pronounced sweet coconut-like note takes center stage, which defines the entire scent progression. The originally fruity and slightly seductive opening fades rapidly. Instead, a very dominant, almost overwhelming coconut water sweetness remains, which changes little and shapes the fragrance for hours. There is no real development or depth. I could not perceive any creaminess. The scent remains consistently loud and present.

The sillage is extremely strong, and the longevity is excellent. Gold Elixir fills every room effortlessly and without distance. In everyday life, this quickly becomes too much and over time, hard to wear.

The Gold Elixir shows enormous power, volume, and endurance, but loses every nuance in the process. Instead of creamy-warm sandalwood, a dominant sweet coconut water note remains, which, while recognizable, lacks elegance or variation.

Conclusion:
A fragrance of enormous presence and longevity - intense, sweet, coconut-heavy, but without development. Perhaps appealing for lovers of strong, noticeable scents. For me personally, too overly present and one-dimensional.

Long-lasting sweet, creamy vanilla with subtle citrus on the top. Somewhat generic but pleasant.

Elevated glue sniffing. Sandalwood paste, shower gel thinner, alcohol brew. Ambrocenic cable burn vapor seeps into the brain. Lasts like Pattex.

If a woman likes bold scents, she can definitely wear this as a unisex perfume. It layers well with AA Forte Bosca Vanilla.

Creamy vanilla dessert.
Nothing more, nothing less. But it works well in this simplicity.

At first, simple, sweet vanilla. Then super creamy, slightly woody with a spicy background. Can't get enough.

The best Rabanne in a long time. Great creamy-sweet blend. One could argue it's a bit too synthetic and lacks any innovation.

It goes with the mandarin in the direction of Wanted by Night, but it's softer and quieter. First impression is really good.

Not a bad perfume, but it has an aura of -10... the mandarin/wood/vanilla theme is really overdone...

For me, the best Million Gold so far, and one of the few cases where new formulas are actually better. Sweet and musky.

I actually smell a bit of Wanted by Night and Santal 33 - powdery woody vanilla or tonka sweetness, very interesting. I really like it!
