A Gentle, Sensual Elixir
If I’d had a say in the olfactory pyramid, I would’ve slipped in a dash of spice and just a hint of ambergris.

This Elixir is spicy and fresh at once, the mandarin keeping things bright. The vanilla and sandalwood bring a creamy, enveloping sensation. And as it dries down, the woody facet becomes increasingly pronounced.

Familiar territory, perhaps, but done right, and with undeniable charm. I passed the sample on to my husband, and I’ll take great pleasure in smelling it on him.

Not all flankers are bad, and I’d even say this one is particularly pleasant...

Million Gold Elixir: A Gourmand Explosion
The initial burst is sweet, with tangerine appearing with that freshness and slight acidic edge wrapped in a creamy vanilla ice cream that arrives and never leaves. The base is lined with sandalwood, which gives that warm, sensual comfort, prolonging the feeling of coziness. And just like with wine, too much vanilla tends to cloy and overpower everything, ending up as a common place similar to so many others. Age makes me seek definition and aromatic freshness, and in the world of perfumes, it couldn't be different. With projection and duration well above average, it follows the adolescent/young vibe of those who like to make their mark and leave their stamp, at parties or outings with friends. Suitable for colder weather.

All that glitters is not gold...
I still had a sample of Million Gold Elixir and I thought, why not test it? I wasn't expecting much anyway and only expected the usual overdosed sweetness.

It wasn't quite that extreme after all. This fruity vanilla mix with a certain creaminess was quite okay. Either way, it's not "more" my DNA. But I also liked wearing perfumes like this in my youth. The main thing was relatively sweet / synthetic and overload.

That's why I don't want to talk this style down, but it's just no longer my thing and is also intended for a different target group.

In short: I'm out of my age (44) and too much in the perfume bubble. Accordingly, this fragrance would not convince me to buy it.

Even if it is a bar...all that glitters is not gold.

He came late, but won
I innocently lingered in the pedestrian zone and walked through the stores. I saw the little highlighter on the "now new" fragrance shelf.

I was a little surprised, I've seen this thing many times before. The original Million Gold really appeals to me when I spray it on, but then it develops a bit off my hopes.
At second glance, I see the orange inlay in the chain link.

As sprayed on and off.
I rarely smell all the notes from a fragrance, but here subtle dried mandarin opens, followed by sandalwood and vanilla.
This fragrance becomes a little warmer or "sandalwoodier" on me after about 15 minutes and then lingers unchanged on my skin for around 7-9 hours.

In my eyes, it is directly the warmest and best of the Million series.

It is the first fragrance in a long time that is neither exciting nor boring. I could smell it every day, but I don't have to smell it every day.
It's not a striking fragrance, but a very, very successful one that I find very versatile to wear.
Summer when it's not too warm, office, going out, at dinner.

It also joins the small series of fragrances where I was asked directly for the name of the fragrance.
It won't blow anyone away, but my goodness is this flanker solid and accomplished.

Long-lasting sweet, creamy vanilla with subtle citrus on the top. Somewhat generic but pleasant.
