A modern interpretation of a long discontinued classic. I have several bottles of Gucci Noble, so I can compare the two. Parfums Vintage Esoteric is VERY VERY CLOSE to Gucci Noble upon first spray. It gets every note and nuance perfectly. 30 minutes or so out, and the differences become apparent. GN remains very green and sharp, sort of a medicinal barbershop smell. PVE is much more mellow, and the sharper notes are turned way down. It’s sort of a sweet earthy smell, and it’s nice. I prefer GN in general, it stays much more green and fresh, and PVE takes it to a nice sublime level. PVE lasts much longer, and it has beast mode staying power. I do highly recommend PVE, it’s EXTREMELY CLOSE to the classic, and it is an expertly constructed fragrance. Well worth it, as vintage bottles of GN now sell for $500.-$700. on eBay.
