Green Playboy from Berlin?

In the supermarket, the Playboys (that is, the perfumes from Playboy) stand shoulder to shoulder. In a weak moment, I tried the green Berlin version and was very pleasantly surprised.

The "Super Playboy" is really not one, but the "Playboy Berlin" is quite acceptable!
A fresh, fruity, summery, apple-like (?) lively scent that does smell a bit like freshly showered, but is overall very pleasant. There are really perfumes that try to achieve the same and fail spectacularly for significantly more than 6.95 euros!
It has a noticeable sillage (yep!), an okay longevity, and a rather unattractive bottle (boring!).
The Berlin Playboy can definitely hold its own.

nasty little guy

I don't really think anyone is seriously interested in this concoction, and to keep it short: yes, this will be a takedown. But maybe some will reconsider when they're in the store eyeing the nicely cheap fragrance sets.

My friend received this as a gift from his 15-year-old brother. It first triggered a mocking fit of laughter from me because he generally doesn't like perfume and is definitely not a Playboy. I sprayed him when he least expected it (that caused quite a commotion...)
I took a sniff - nice is something else. There's a biting freshness, quite penetrating. It could be associated with shower gel or even toilet cleaner. Presumably, that's the apple that stinks synthetically from the beginning to the bitter end. I also smell alcohol and a few indefinable spices.
The longevity doesn't seem too bad, easily two hours. The sillage is also not to be underestimated; it probably fills a German classroom quite often.

But the reason I actually wrote a comment is the fact that I noticed a qualitative difference compared to "real" perfumes. My nose has gotten used to quite a bit by now and apparently has also been trained a little better :D I'm very proud of myself and give this little guy a generous 20%.

More Honolulu than Berlin

I am very surprised by this pleasantly scented budget fragrance, but let's start from the beginning...

When I was looking for a successor to One Million almost 6 months ago, my plan was to find a good perfume for partying (I had The One in mind at that time) and 2 or 3 Playboy scents for everyday use... because they smelled very pleasant and suitable for daily wear to my untrained nose, and of course they were inexpensive as well.

But then I was somehow struck by lightning and my new hobby, which I share with all of you, came & has since become indispensable.
Since then, I haven't even looked back at the Playboy fragrances, as they exuded something cheap and are often criticized by experts... then the mall shop was closed during my lunch break, Versace Pour Homme was almost gone, and so I went to DM and tested this Playboy variant on my skin.
And lo and behold, I am positively surprised and really considering whether I should not test the Playboy budget fragrances more closely.

Of course, you can tell a difference with inexpensive drugstore scents compared to the big names; they are usually much more linear, less long-lasting, and the notes smell less high-quality... but maybe this is just a figment of my imagination since one cannot shake off prejudices.

This fragrance smells extremely summery, fruity, of orange & apple, cocktail, beach... super good in my opinion, if I were employed by Playboy, however, I would not associate this scent with our good capital, but with Hawaii or Honolulu...

It also lasts quite well and has a pleasant sillage... give it a try, I can well imagine this is the best of the Playboy fragrances!

ADDENDUM: Today I noticed that Playboy Berlin is indeed a really blatant Boss Bottled copy... blatant but still good!
