Extremely disappointing, weak, poor effort.
This hardly qualifies as a perfume. It is an impotent attempt, imho. Very little scent, no duration, no reach, entirely non-memorable other than for the gimmick bottle. Doubt I'll buy any other in this series. At least it was cheap, and that certainly describes this "fragrance". A major miss.

A cheap impulse buy that is also beautiful!
For a few weeks now, I've been having problems with my refrigerator, or rather, with the delivery of a new one. It seems to be turning into a never-ending story, because IT SHOULD have been resolved today, but nothing. I've been jumping through hoops, losing my temper, and dragging the responsible employee over the phone, but unfortunately, that doesn't change anything at the moment. If we were still back home in ancient Egypt, quite a few people would have had a bath with the crocodiles today!! But to my regret, times have changed, and instead of feeding crocodiles, I was left with no choice but to stomp over to the nearest drugstore and buy Play it sexy.

I've had my eye on it for a while, but kept postponing the purchase. Today, however, it was time. I'm in the mood for something quite sweet at the moment, and Play it sexy starts off quite sweet and lightly fruity. At first, it seems almost a bit too girly, but that changes soon when patchouli makes its way in, bringing along a very slight smoky note. Now the fragrance comes across as much more mature. The base, with its warm, floral, delicately licorice-like sweetness, reminds me a bit of Christina Aguilera's By Night, a scent that I also like.

Play it sexy is a sweet, warm, soft fragrance that, in my opinion, works well in the morning, afternoon, and evening, and it seems more mature due to the patchouli compared to some of the other bunnies. One shouldn't be deterred by the initially strong sweetness, as the scent develops beautifully. On me, Play it sexy lasts a good four to five hours, then you might want to reapply. A lovely all-rounder that helps me forget the stress of today!

My First Bunny
That's how it started. The first three Playboy women's fragrances hit the market in autumn 2010, and we discovered a display with many bunny ears at dm. My son was thrilled - everything with bunny ears had to be good in his opinion. He couldn't make sense of the Playboy label yet. *g*

So we sniffed our way through the 3 women's fragrances Play it Sexy - Spicy - Lovely, and I decided on Play it Sexy. At least one had to come home with us, my little bunny friend insisted. ;-) His argument for taking 2 was that one shouldn't keep bunnies alone, which I initially rejected... However, I have already gone through the 2nd bottle of it, along with some of its sisters; I even finished the first one. Therefore, I like it too.

Play it Sexy is not particularly sweet compared to the newer Playboy fragrances. It is also rather subtle in terms of sillage. Nevertheless, it can still be perceived well. Overall, it is a very soft-spicy scent that fits well into autumn and winter. But even in the rest of the year, it doesn't feel too much or overwhelming to me. Thus, it can also be worn well on a cooler summer day. What I also notice about this fragrance: You can clearly recognize the individual notes. Often, fragrances are quite a mixed bag for me, and I can only pick out a few notes. Not here...

Mandarin takes the lead and dares to step forward first. Quite quickly, a fresh, slightly bitter grapefruit (as bitter as grapefruits can be, nothing that would disturb) joins in, garnished with a hint of pink pepper. Among the three, I can recognize the grapefruit the best. The top note lasts relatively long, the heart note begins with bright flowers, and after a while, it gets a slight jasmine tea touch, which, however, only lasts briefly and is replaced by licorice. I have never been able to perceive licorice so distinctly and pleasantly in a perfume, except in a Varens scent.

In the base, the fragrance changes a bit again and goes, as Wölfin described, in the Classique direction. Presumably, it was also oriented towards this. Play it Sexy and the torso of Classique actually fit well together. I seem to remember that Classique was a hit back then before it was replaced by LVEB and Sì. However, it only roughly goes in this direction; they resemble each other a bit in the base, and that's about it. For me, this is very pleasant, as it does without amber. I keep noticing that amber develops unpleasantly and quite showily on me. About like this: "Wow, hey baby, I'm the amber." ;-) I think I’ll better avoid amber fragrances in the future....

In the base, I can recognize beautiful spicy, soft, and ungruff patchouli, as well as sandalwood and vanilla. Musk remains elegantly restrained, another plus point for this fragrance.

Of all the much-maligned bunnies, I find this one the best. I hope it doesn't end up in the cooking pot someday and is sacrificed for something more fruity-sweet. After all, it’s not the youngest anymore....

Not just for the Katzenbergers of this world: GIVE BUNNY A CHANCE!
Oh God, now I smell like a secondary school. Like heavy smoky eyes early in the morning, like "I'll just say it like this" and like only buying postcards in bookstores!

That's what I thought after I took a shy tester sprayer of "Play it sexy." A sticky compote of about a zillion calories clung to my wrist and in seconds also to my nose. I just wanted to crawl away, make myself invisible, or lick the sweet chemical club off my wrist. If necessary, bite off my entire forearm.

Holy Mary Mother of God! I couldn't get home fast enough (um... on foot and by train, I have neither a car nor a driver's license). I was carrying my aging Asta bag and my heavily oxidized Art Deco silver jewelry demonstratively like a shield in front of me. "Nooo, this pink-tacky scent cloud does not belong to me. So please. Me? No way!"

Barely arrived home (it actually took over an hour in the end), I was just about to smugly and sourly peel off the sweet scent band-aid (that is, wash it off, scrub it off, and over-perfume), when I risked one last disgusted sniff. And then "Oops! Well, well."

Yes. Oops. The killer top note of pure canned fruit water had vanished, and a smoky-creamy cocktail emerged, like one I had enjoyed somewhere in the high-end fragrance corner. Damn!! Remorsefully, I moved my stubborn, arrogant ass out of the bathroom and sniffed and sniffed delightfully at the aforementioned wrist until my nasal mucosa hurt.

Well. I'm still sniffing. Where do I know this scent from? It's so beautiful, so flirtatiously smoky-sweet. I had to check if anyone before me had figured out which big brother the Playboy perfume leans on. Unfortunately, no luck. But then I read about the sister scent "Play it spicy" that it almost resembles Gaultier's Classique. Yes! That's it! "Play it sexy" smells (also) like Gaultier's Classique, only much sweeter. But it has that floral-flirtatious smokiness!

Now I absolutely have to try "Play it spicy." I can imagine that it contains less canned fruit water and more flirtatious smoke. Then it's definitely something for me-despite the creepy bottle (ugly bottles have never deterred me). Otherwise, possibly (with a lot of courage) "Play it sexy" could also be a candidate for purchase for me.

Conclusion: This bunny is, contrary to all my prejudices, not a scent solely for the Katzenbergers or their wannabes. It is also for them, but not just for them. Honey-Bunny definitely deserves our attention and a chance (or even two).

P.S. Bunny lasts like the Duracell bunny.

P.P.S. Bad bunny. Now it's evening and after all that sniffing, it really feels like a storm in my chambers. Bunny dear, play it somewhere else, not with me. Two ibuprofen please!

Like on the First Day
I wore this fragrance when I was 16, when I met my partner; we have been together for almost four years now, we live together and love each other like on the first day, if not even more.
I haven’t worn this scent for two years now, the bottle was empty and my signature scent became Betty Barclay Beautiful Grace, which recently ran out and is no longer produced. But yesterday I saw Play it Sexy at Netto for €5/50ml. I bought it without thinking too much, after all, it had accompanied me for many years. I like it just as much as on the first day. It reminds me of the wonderful time when I got to know my beloved. When he smelled it today, he simply said I smell like back then and mentioned that Beautiful Grace was never really my signature scent, because this one is me.
I don’t come from the Kevin Schakeline layer; I grew up in a middle-class environment. The scent nuances are very harmonious, none stands out strongly, it doesn’t smell chemical either.
It’s a sexy fragrance, but rather innocent, like a young, innocent, sexy girl.
I will probably stock up on it (the fact that I can no longer buy Beautiful Grace in large quantities still weighs heavily on my stomach, as I always received so many compliments for it).
In my opinion, you can’t really overdose on Play it Sexy either; even if a few extra spritzes are applied, it won’t be intrusive or dominant (I know that well enough from aunts who seem to bathe in sticky drugstore scents), nor is it sticky.
I will wear it again tomorrow on Valentine’s Day; it will remind us of our young love.
I love it so much that I don’t want to miss a day with it, and reminiscing about the past, just with a fragrance, is beautiful.

One of my very first perfumes crossed my path today.
I was 15/16, the lady today is over 30 - and yet it didn't smell like a teenage mistake.

The scent of my youth. Fruity, but also somehow sexy, though more for young ladies. Great interplay of the notes, long-lasting.

Clean, fresh, ageless, yet confident and actually very sexy! A fragrance with personality, despite the cheesy packaging.

Starts off alcoholic, then just a synthetic-sweet uniform blend. Smelled like this a thousand times before!

Sweet, artificial, and overwhelming. I don't have anything more to say about it.

It's nicer than expected. I definitely smell licorice and tea with a lovely, non-sticky sweetness in the background. Uncomplicated ...

Smells a bit like Flowerbomb to me. Sweet but also a bit bitter, probably thanks to the patchouli. Great for the price!

Rather boring, so I got rid of it. Ended up in the work bathroom - it seems to have its fans despite my opinion - it actually gained a following there.
