The Sky Full of Tangerines
Do you know that wonderful aroma when you peel a tangerine or a still slightly green unripe mandarin? Slightly bitter, herbaceous, and yet a promise of the coming splendid sweetness of the inside. Once you've completed the peeling, the fruit juice drips down your fingers and you finally take a bite. Pure fruit explosion: sweet, sour, bitter, fruity. That's how "Tangerine Thyme" begins. Wonderful!
Bergamot, thyme, and frankincense ensure that the scent doesn't turn into the typical sweet fruit perfume - so no fruit flies attracted. Over time, the fragrance becomes softer and also a bit fresher. At this point, it reminds me somewhat of Neuffer's natural scents with citrus fruits, just significantly weaker. Annette uses, among other things, beeswax for preservation, and I always associate that with my teenage visits to certain Indian hippie shops. I like that, and it makes her scents unmistakable for me. Exactly this note, just weaker and "simpler," I now smell in the middle part.
The unloved neroli, which always reminds me of the childhood trauma "4711," I can only recognize towards the end, after about 4-5 hours. It is not prominent, so the scent remains very wearable for me. The fragrance is unisex.
Since the brand Providence Perfume is about natural scents from Providence, Rhode Island, New England, the longevity fades slowly and gently; it’s no more than 6 hours, and the sillage, as is often the case, noticeably decreases after about 2 hours. (This is the case with several scents from this brand)
According to their own statements on their homepage, they are 100% natural fragrances, but not 100% organic. (The body oil is 96% made from organic ingredients)
There is a white and a dark collection, both sets are in lilac or purple boxes, each containing 8 samples resting on dried moss. 8 samples of 1.8 ml sprayers are priced at around €70 with shipping from the USA.
