dash of sea
So upon spraying, I immediately detect the salt and the vanilla notes. Olympea Intense really does have a saltwater toffee vibe to it, an aroma that hangs in the warm summer air. The orange blossom also comes out quite well from the start and indeed throughout the entire life cycle.

It’s a familiar floral and one of the floral notes that I enjoy most in fragrances. Orange blossom fits in perfectly to that salty vanilla mix and feels like it is soaked in the amber note.

The amber, of course, is the other highlight of this composition. It gives this Paco Rabanne perfume, a thick warmth, which envelopes the wearer and acts as the glue to keep everything together.

Olympea Intense is a fairly straightforward and simple fragrance. Vanilla is the main attraction and it is paired with the salt to create something that feels like it has a dash of sea air to it. All of this is coated with a very compelling amber note and an orange blossom to offset it from becoming strictly a vanilla perfume.

This one reminds me of some other fragrances such as BonBon and Black Opium and perhaps a few others (Prada Candy, maybe?).

It has that same vanilla, citrus sort of smell with a candy-like aroma (toffee in this case versus caramel in others). None are exactly the same, but they have a similar profile.

Wow ... I'm pleasantly surprised :)
... and I mean really surprised!
The fragrances from Paco Rabanne haven't really convinced me so far, and the regular Olympéa was okay ... but not a candidate for my wish list.
Olympéa Intense caught me with the first spray ... at the next opportunity, I grabbed the fragrance and it joined my collection.

Oh dear ... some are probably screaming now ... a "mainstreamer"
... but ladies, I tell you ... this is not just mainstream ... it stands out from the mainstream crowd in such a way.
Unusual and very special :)
Olympéa Intense has depth ...
it lasts and lasts ...
and this salty vanilla combined with the woody-amber notes and the beautiful orange blossom ... simply different and good!
... interested yet? ;)

About the fragrance:
The opening begins with a beautiful orange blossom. Sweet-citrusy-fruity-spicy scents greet me from my wrist. Unfortunately, I have no idea what grapefruit blossom smells like (slightly bitter?) ... yes, that could be right, as I perceive the white pepper as the spicy component in the opening.
In the development of the fragrance, I notice the salty vanilla that I already know from the regular Olympéa.
It is not too sweet and very pleasant, and this time it is not the main player in the fragrance.
Woody-amber notes lead into the base. Cedarwood and white amber are responsible for that.
The Intense radiates a pleasant warmth, is woody-spicy, has depth, and the orange blossom remains throughout the entire fragrance journey.
Olympéa Intense is immediately likable to me and creates a good mood and spring feelings.
The fragrance is more intense and heavier than Olympéa but still fits into the upcoming spring.
In summer on cooler nights, it will certainly work as well, and in autumn/winter as a mood lifter when the sun is missing :)
The longevity is a good 10 hours and on clothing even longer :)
The sillage is well noticeable ... you exude a captivating fragrance aura for hours!
The bottle is designed like its predecessor ... simple and beautiful.

Conclusion:
Wow ... I'm pleasantly surprised :)
Beautiful orange blossom meets woody-amber notes!
Salty vanilla plays along - but is not the main player.
Ladies ... you have to test this ... very special for a mainstream fragrance, unusual ... well done!

Rabimmel, Rabammel - Rabanne!
I have recently fallen into the addiction of perfumes, and so it is only natural that I must gradually sniff my way through the mainstream fragrance sea to slowly build a modest treasure of experience that allows me to understand the scent comments on Parfumo and enables me to contribute my small part to the discourse within my limited means.
The first Paco Rabanne I encountered was Lady Million, which didn’t make it from paper to my skin. Too flashy, too "sequined mini in the club." Olympea sounded quite interesting regarding the fragrance pyramid and my olfactory prey schema. Sprayed on paper, inhaled, and found quite nice. My spontaneous comment: "At least it won’t hurt anyone." The woman in turquoise had to smile a little. Three weeks later, on my way home from work, I stopped by our rural drugstore with a centaur and had an acute need for a reward. The gentleman in white, who unlocked the perfume counter for me, initially seemed a bit uncertain, but quickly got to work and patiently sprayed one fragrance wish after another onto the card. After I must have looked very shocked to disgusted after testing Angel, he reached under the counter and held a small jar of coffee beans under my nose with a concerned look. Bravo! No fragrance really convinced me, and so I found myself back at Mr. Rabanne's Greek notes. In the face of Angel, the fragrance experience could only get better. Wait a minute. Olympea Intense. Isn’t that structured a bit differently than Olympea? The gentleman in white shrugged awkwardly. On to the tester and into the nose. Hello there. This friendly indifference that had kept me from further engaging with Olympea was completely foreign to Olympea Intense. The scent is voluminous, harmonious, sweet, and very warm and soft. I distinctly smell the white pepper in the top note, which gives Olympea Intense a certain edgy spiciness. Then the salty element of vanilla comes in, which for me merges with the other components into a wonderfully mild salted caramel candy, making the fragrance a dream gourmand par excellence. Intense yet delicate. Sweet, but by no means sticky. I perceive the floral notes less strongly (if at all). Amber and cedar are finely tuned and provide a harmonious finish that continues to be carried by this heavenly delicious caramel candy. It is certainly not an old Werther's, but a hand-rolled candy from a small Breton candy manufacturer.
The sillage is quite impressive, so restraint in dosage is required. The longevity for me is about six hours.
And so it came to pass that Paco and I finally made our peace.

My monthly perfume budget...
has already been exceeded today, on the 7th of the month....and yet yesterday I went to my local perfumery and had O.I. sprayed on me, almost hoping that I wouldn't like it, but to no avail! One of the nice beauticians there, whom I know well, told me beforehand that she didn't like it because it was far too sweet! Yesterday I managed to leave the store without taking the scent with me. If only I had taken it yesterday, I would have only bought 30 ml. But this way, the fragrance was able to fully unfold its effect, and today after work I returned and snagged 50 ml.....Yes, I was weak - and yet I feel absolutely fantastic right now, because I smell so heavenly that I could almost nibble on myself! And: Non, je ne regrette rien....The citrusy flowers in the opening are already wonderfully harmonious; I don't really like perfumes that smell too citrusy at the beginning, the delicately salted vanilla is immediately present and together with the pepper note, it's wonderfully spicy-sweet. The whole thing is truly dreamily ambried, delicate and feminine, not too dominant, and the woody note, although stronger than in Olympea, is not too overpowering to disrupt the pleasant sweetness. Yes, it is sweet, but TOO sweet?? Not for me! For me, the fragrance is very delicately floral, sweet-spicy, slightly woody; it has everything I like, and all in a heavenly combination. The peppery note reduces the sweet impression a bit, and it has significantly more depth than Olympea and is unmistakable. I think I can detect a delicate lily of the valley in the background? Who knows, that might not mean anything, unfortunately, I don't have such a fine nose. Since I keep all my bottles in a dark cool cabinet, the bottle itself isn't that important to me, but this one is beautiful! Its shape fits the name of the fragrance, which is not always the case. The longevity on the skin is already great, on clothing it's enormous. The sillage is strong; with 2 sprays too many, you could easily fill a smaller room, which not everyone might appreciate with O.I. Nevertheless, it can also be worn in the office, carefully dosed, since you’re not sitting shoulder to shoulder. I also believe that almost everyone who loves the Manifesto Elixir by Y.S.L. could fall for this one too!? Because O.I. is indeed slightly gourmand.

Follow-Up Sniffing
After "Olympéa," which has conquered my wish list, I of course had to put "Olympéa Intense" to a nose test. Here are the results:

Salty-spicy, vanillic, floral, warm with a hint of wood are my olfactory perceptions of OI. Good, really good, yet OI doesn't evoke a "must-have" feeling in me. The maritime expression of "Olympéa" has completely disappeared despite the salty vanilla. Where O has freshness, OI has (only) warmth. I find it a bit regrettable that I can only recognize my beloved orange blossom (which is not present in O) as floral. Normally, it triggers a nice boost of good mood for me. (Interestingly, it then shows up in the room where I sprayed OI hours ago when I return to write this comment on the computer. Salt and vanilla are still quite prominent.) The grapefruit blossom seems to be responsible for a very delicate soapy-clean aspect. Amber and cedar reveal themselves through warmth and a somehow present wood note.

Seasonally, I would categorize OI more in autumn/winter.

I thank Sweetsmell75 for allowing me to satisfy my curiosity.

Not as sweet or aquatic as OG Olympea. Heavy orange blossom with salt & pepper. Not as unique but good for evenings/cold weather.

Sweet and warm with a salty touch, perfect in the cold season or by night. Quite good sillage. Luxury bottle, but a little kitsch (to me)

Projection wise, Olympea Intense actually lives up to the name and has a strong sillage. Trust me, you won’t have to spray very much of this

Gourmand salty caramel (reminds me of Snickers a little bit) with vanilla, seductive and delicious. Great for cold weather

Warm scent. To my nose this has an underlying mustiness, so this scent is not for me.

I think the Douglas lady had a slight stroke when I said it smells like fruit yogurt.

Somehow I smell an aquatic. Sweet, floral, and watery with very, very mild vanilla that's slightly salty. Summer scent for evenings for women.

A lovely O-flower meets woody-amber notes!
Salty vanilla plays along - but it's not the main act.

I even like this one better than the original - the orange blossom combined with the salty note really stands out - it's more intense I like!
