6 - Jasmin, Sandalwood, Oriental Musk Rosendo Mateu - Olfactive Expressions 2019 Eau de Parfum

Rosendo Mateu “No. 6 Jasmin, Sandalwood, Oriental Musk“ is a sweet, powdery, floral fragrance softly intertwined by Amber and Musk. It begins with jasmine, flowers and sweet fruit with a touch of coconut. Afterward the spicey note gives you the feel of warm with a blend of the highest quality of musk with amber and vanilla touch in the background which gives the parfume it’s amazing sweetness.

Although the name mentions sandalwood, I didn’t get any woody note, perhaps my nose got lost in the middle of Jasmine and Musk

A sensual and seductive combination that will easily win not only women’s, but also men’s hearts. I’ve got over 6h longevity on my skin with a soft project and around 5h on my clothes.

It is a beautiful and unique parfume suitable at any time of the year and at any weather.

Moi qui déteste les floraux...mais vraiment. Je découvre celui ci et je suis agréablement surprise ce n' est pas si floral que ça, plutôt boisé musqué avec un délicat pétale qui virevolte au dessus. Comme d habitude c est très classe. Très équilibré rosendo mateu était un grand parfumeur autant pour les autres que pour lui même! Un petit air de Lolita lempika au séchage mais en plus subtil

I love Alien EDP by Mugler and still use a solid version whenever I'm travelling. Therefore I chose this particular sample of perfume from Rosendo Mateu as the notes look very similar. I can honestly say, that the scents are indeed quite alike, but the overall experience differs in a lot of ways.

Let's start with jasmine. In this fragrance it's heavy and cloying, very blended into sandalwood, almost as a singular sharp note of sweetened wood. The amber screeches heavily, making the whole thing smell almost fizzy and sour. The ingredients here are masterfully blended, but to me it's a bit too loud, as they shout one over another a single step away from an olfactory cacophony.

The scent is very strong and lingering, which is sort of the point of the composition. But it's not something I'd like to wear on myself, as it is way too much of everything, despite having just a few notes. I feel like people, who like to layer multiple scents would appreciate the complex simplicity of the composition more than me.

Review based on a sample size: Personally I found this fragrance very linear. To my nose it is pure sandalwood with a hint of jasmine. It didn't change as it developed on my skin and reminds me of a room spray I used to own. I really wished I liked this but I guess it's good for my bank account :D

Nr.6 by Rosendo Mateu has not been in my collection for very long. A few weeks ago, I bought this great piece because it really shines in autumn. A wonderful warm scent that clearly stands in the shadow of "5 - Floral, Amber, Sensual Musk | Rosendo Mateu - Olfactive Expressions." It's already quite a hit, but this house has much more to offer. I will be testing some more. A great Spanish perfumer who represents his own brand and can express himself freely. Anyone looking for a warm, not too heavy scent for autumn could find it here.

In terms of popularity, I think this Nr.6 is number 2. Nevertheless, this brand or line is very underrated except for the highly hyped Nr.5. Men should not be put off by the jasmine note and the diagram. In my opinion, this scent is absolutely unisex. This scent gives me vibes of "Pi (Eau de Toilette) | Givenchy." It is simply very soft, sensual, and very easy to like. Moreover, it is available at a relatively good price, at least on sale.
The packaging in this line is truly luxurious and I really like it a lot. The scent comes in a very stylish box that makes a real impression. The bottles are also perfect, look luxurious, and appear to be of high quality. A great overall package that you get here.

The scent fits perfectly here as well. You get what it says on the label: jasmine, sandalwood, oriental musk. However, the latter can rather be exchanged for amber & vanilla. This warm amber-vanilla is already extremely present and defines this scent. The DNA of this fragrance reminds me, as mentioned, of Givenchy Pi, which many are likely to know and love. The 6 exudes autumnal-warm vibes from the very beginning that accompany you well through uncomfortable dark days. The jasmine note is not too feminine but rather gentle and sensual, perfectly complementing this amber-vanilla along with the sandalwood note, which also comes across as very cozy and warm. No more notes are needed here. Amber-vanilla smells very good from start to finish and combined with the jasmine-sandalwood creates an absolutely seductive and unusual combo. You smell very unique and elegant. Moreover, in my eyes, it is perfectly balanced for both genders. Overall, a scent that you can feel 100% comfortable with.
The performance is perfect for everyday situations, but also for more formal occasions. The sillage is refined and radiates perfectly, but not too much for many situations. The longevity is quite good with a minimum of 8 hours. It could even be around 10 hours, although the last hours tend to fade closer to the skin. Overall, a worry-free package, also regarding performance.

Overall, a wonderful scent that I have worn often despite the short ownership. This scent is especially versatile now in autumn and makes you feel well accompanied.
