10 - Musk, Musk, Musk Rosendo Mateu - Olfactive Expressions 2026

This was a blind buy after seeing a few good reviews and it's quite honestly not what I expected at all.
The first notes I got were caramel and coffee, with almost a slight burnt note. I get some of the fluffiness you expect from a musk but it mostly smells like a gourmand.
It's not overly strong so it's one you can wear freely for most occasions but it's not the clean scent I expected though a bit of that comes out as it dries down.
What I like is that it's pleasant with no sharp notes that hit your nose and get you sneezing. This is a common issue for me with aldehydes, laundry-like musks, etc.
I think the gourmand girlies looking for a skin scent will like this.
On the fence about keeping it. It's nice but not sure I'll reach for it.

early spray was quite medicinal and synthetic, on the dry down it still is but a bit toned down, mostly a vanilla-ish scent with musk, florals and ambroxan, at least it's not too heavy on the ambroxan, vanilla and florals take the lead here which keeps it decently balanced, smells kinda like sunscreen

soapy, sweet, slightly powdery, almost gourmand but not quite, pretty unique honestly, and feels pretty versatile, a bit feminine leaning but still usable unisex

I initially expected something completely different, as aldehydes are often described as clean, fresh, or like freshly washed laundry. However, on my skin, it develops entirely differently. The opening has a warm sweetness that surprisingly reminds me of sweet almond liqueur - not gourmand like cake or marzipan, but rather soft, round, and slightly liqueur-like.
After a few minutes, this sweetness fades, and the fragrance becomes calmer and drier. It evolves into warm, light wood - almost like sun-warmed driftwood or wood that has stored warmth all day. It does not come across as soapy or cool, but very soft and close to the skin.
What fascinates me about this scent is its effect on me: I can hardly smell it directly on my skin at some point, but suddenly it wafts around me again. Like a warm, soft fragrance aura instead of a loud scent cloud. It doesn't disappear - it just changes its way of being present.
And that is exactly what makes it so special for me: I can hardly stop smelling it. It does not feel intrusive, but rather calming and almost familiar. For me, it is less "fresh laundry" and more sweet almond liqueur, amber, and sandalwood on warm skin and sun-warmed wood.
