Amazing neo-chypre
Pont des Arts is the “nichy niche” I haven’t heard about. I also could find only couple of reviews online, but that’s it. Despite the absence of marketing on their side, their fragrances were created mostly by a renowned perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour.
A Chaque Instant is a chypre fragrance (the brand itself labeled it as chypre), however, I don’t feel the classic chypre vibes here: no oakmoss, no citrusy/leathery/animalic notes. Instead, the opening greets you with sharp and green notes of galbanum and angelica. Later, some warm notes are added to the fresh green chords: probably vanilla and beeswax (listed on Fragrantica). There are many other notes but this fragrance is so nicely done that you can’t really take them apart, it’s very well-blended.
The creation is one of the best chypre perfumes out there in my opinion and will certainly become one of the top-5 perfumes in my collection. Very sophisticated, some people might even call it a bit old-fashioned (I wouldn’t agree with that as it is way more subtle and beautiful compared to the oldies from the 80-s and 90-s), maybe it will suit me even more when I will turn 40+ and start wearing suits all day every day, but I love to smell it so much that I don’t care if it actually suits my age/dressing style or not at all :)
If you like chypre fragrances, but want something more gentle than vintage chypres, this is a must try for you. Absolute French beauty and elegance!
