Opening Night
Opening Night says neroli, but I get much more of an unlisted petitgrain. Maybe it's that bergamot I'm getting. Crisp and sharp, it's true-to-life and reminds me of playing in my grandma's backyard where she had a lemon tree and I'd occasionally pull leaves off the branches to make "potions" in a little bucket of water.
Personal anecdote aside, it's all too short-lived. That bracing greenness lasts a matter of minutes. I know that's the nature of citrus to burn off quickly, but it leaves behind the faintest trace of what once was. A hardly imperceptible trace of neroli and the dryness of vetiver. I might try it on clothes instead of skin to try and remedy the lack of longevity.

NETTE has one of the most beautiful bottles among the newer brands. I've always thought it had an objet d'art quality about it with the thick glass, wide silhouette, and 80s sort of feel. I have yet to try their candles, but speaking to their fine fragrances, with the exception of La Foret at time of writing, they're all a bit sweeter and more feminine than I'd like. They remind me of Jo Malone, but a degree or two more substantive in weight. I hope in time, they'll explore different fragrance tastes.
