A "Philosykos" for me.
It is greener and never reaches the level of the nauseating coconut sweetness of the real Philosykos. After a few hours, it becomes a nice and creamy, slightly cosmetic skin scent. Very pleasant. Both the sillage and longevity could be better.

Sardinian memories
I spent two summers vacationing on different islands in Italy, and the sweet smell of fig trees by the houses where I stayed at was incredibly comforting to me. When I came back home, I went looking for a fragrance that captured that smell, something photorealistic, warm and creamy. I smelt many famous fragrances with the fig note in it, but nothing compared to the original smell that was ingrained in my mind. The sales lady then suggested this one and it was love at first sniff.
Fico Nero is a green fragrance, but very sweet and milky at the same time. It smells exactly like a fig tree after a long day under the burning summer sun.
It has good longevity on skin (great on clothes); sillage not as strong as I'd like but oh well. It's so so good. Great for every season.

The overall composition
I love fig scents. They give me the ultimate fresh and vacation feeling like no other fruit. When I'm traveling and feel stuffy because I've been on the train or plane all day and then I'm lying in the hotel longing for the ultimate clean feeling, give me fig and I feel completely renewed. From a purely artistic point of view, I think the Philoskos EDP is unattainable. It is and remains art for me. It is a mystery to me how a cinematic sequence of mown grass, branch, trunk, fig milk and fruit can be so successful. I used up the bottle. Then, for a change, I used up the EDT in no time at all. This is much more figgy and sweeter with less longevity. Although both fragrances are incredibly good, they have not proven themselves as a permanent companion. The 4th and 5th figs I can compare are Ichnusa and Fico di amalfi. With Ichnusa I was too overwhelmed with the punch of Tannenwald, with Fico di amalfi I had a
Washing-up impulse, too much grapefruit hand soap vibes. In Fico nero, I have finally found an overall composition, a linear fig fragrance that has all the components blended and stirred directly into itself, without reeling off a ticked-off succession of scents. For some, this can be disturbing and perceived as "mush", for others this is exactly what they want. I want fig on it, in one go. That's it. I often read that many people find the coconut note in fig fragrances annoying. I actually love this note and was very sad that it came up far too short in Phylosikos EDT. I would have liked the coconut from the EDP for the EDT. In Fico nero, it smells more like a light coconut water, but you can clearly perceive it. The peppery, woody note from Phylosikos EDP, which I find rather annoying, is completely absent here. As I said, Philosykos remains unchallenged as a work of art and I always enjoy looking at it from afar (smelling it when I'm in a perfumery again), but as an everyday companion I've stuck with Fico nero.

Happy to have found my fig fragrance.

Fig scented find
This is the fig I've been looking for. After the fiasco with Alluring Fig, all the praise for it having a hint of vanilla, which smelled like burnt plastic on my skin, I was looking for something with a bit longer lasting than my favorite Phylosikos by Diptique. This scent is very similar to Phylosikos but is cheaper (140€ for 100ml compared to 160€ for 75ml), plus it has a higher oil content, so for me it's an all-round win-win.

In my opinion, it's not a purely masculine scent, more unisex if you can handle Diptyque's. The coconut note lifts it a little into a slightly warmer, sweeter scent than just pure green like the other one. It's my boyfriend's favorite scent on me. He has never issued a compliment when I wear it. However, I would test a sample on my skin first before a blind purchase. Because it smells completely different on him, very cheap, like burnt plastic (think Alluring Fig ) compared to my skin.

Elegant, fresh, fruity, feel-good fig fragrance that puts you in a good mood
For me, Fico Nero di Sardegna is a really delicious, fresh and fruity fig fragrance that exudes a special elegance without ever being too loud. The fig seems very natural to me - fruity, but not overripe - and combines with a soft, creamy freshness that makes the fragrance a real feel-good experience for me.

It never seems artificial or overloaded, but remains clear, clean and pleasant to wear - perfect for warm days or situations in which you want to appear well-groomed but unobtrusive. Despite the fruitiness, the fragrance has something very stylish about it. There is also a light coconut creaminess, which I find super fitting and delicious.

Longevity and sillage are more in the medium range for me - solid, but not noticeable. This suits me well, however, as the fragrance communicates quietly rather than loudly anyway. It lasts well for maybe half a day on me and then becomes very close to the skin. But you can get through the day quite well with one spray.

Overall, a fragrance that convinces me with its balance: fresh, fruity, elegant - and above all: simply beautiful. I'm already looking forward to wearing it in summer.

Beautiful fig scent. Opening is really similar to Philosykos but the dry down is way creamier and I find it more pleasant. Perfect spring scent.
