I feel like Moana from Disney sailing to the Goddess of life island
Opening this fragrance can be polarizing for different people. At first, the citrus notes mixed with the rest of the fragrance are quite oppressive, you have to appreciate the rather sophisticated smells that border on the excellent and the disgusting, I'd totally understand if many people didn't like the opening.
On the other hand, after a quarter of an hour or even 30 minutes, once the citrus has worn off, it transforms into a floral, marine skin scent that's magnificent. Imagine being human but having skin made not just of flesh like us, but also skin made of flowers, mainly ylang-ylang here, and all this coming out of the sea and still having the salty drops of water running down our bodies as we walk on the beach sand and the sun drying those drops and leaving only the faint smell of salty skin.
I think this perfume's rather low rating is really caused by the opening that people test, notes directly, and quickly move on to something else. But if you want to test a ylang-ylang perfume, don't hesitate to at least order a tester (but test it first, I don't think it's blind buy safe, and I'm not a fan of blind buy in general, always test first).
This fragrance is underrated by the house of Simone Andreoli, making very little noise on the social networks and even in stores, but I find it gorgeous and it's definitely worth testing and waiting for at least thirty minutes.
I feel like Moana/Vaiana in her Disney movie, surfing with my little boat and seeing the goddess of life once she's got her blue stone back and turns green again, all with the scent of ylang-ylang that has followed me ever since and remains fused to my skin from the island of origin. (But in a adult-mature-fragrance way, not in a childish/teen fragrance way)
A second-skin smell with a lot of yellow flowers and some salty-water. Truly beautiful and underrated gem.
