The less expensive alternative to J'adore by Dior
Well, well, well, this was a pleasant surprise! As soon as the alcoholic blast shifted away, I could picture myself frolicking in a nice meadow full of beautiful honeysuckles dancing in the breeze with clear skies above and a nice warm sun caressing my skin. And that's when it hit me! This perfume is an almost exact dupe to the J'adore Eau de Parfum (although they don't have the same notes). Since I do have the iconic fragrance in my collection, I pulled out my notes on it and carefully reviewed everything. There are a few differences (if you have smelled both), but if you want a less expensive alternative to a designer perfume, this is truly it.

Honeysuckle Dream is a bit more linear and less multifaceted, which translates to being better for the younger crowd. As I've previously said, J'adore is a beautiful and feminine scent, fit for mature women. This Skylar perfume is like its little sister. There's the same creamy white floral scent, with a hint of dewy, honey-like sweetness. It's luscious, but at the same time it's delicate and feminine. Bergamot and blackberry are almost invisible, but pear leaf gave it a fresh tinge of green that could be smelled at the edge. The middle notes are truly the stars here. When the base notes come in, that's where I started seeing the difference. The end of the perfume becomes a bit more floral woody while retaining that nice creamy aspect. Another difference is the sillage and longevity. J'adore is iconic and a classic for a reason: it's a powerhouse designer fragrance that projects nicely and lasts awhile on the skin. Honeysuckle Dream on the other side is more delicate: the base notes were already mingling with the middle notes after about 45 minutes. It's also quite inoffensive: people had to come close to me to even smell it. Nonetheless, if you want a beautiful and less expensive version of J'adore, this is truly it. As for me, I'll be clearing it out of my collection, but only because I already have a full bottle of its bigger sister.

A delicate feminine scent that reminded me of J'adore, but for the younger crowd. Creamy, sweet, lovely florals perfect for warmer weather!
