A Playful Oud-Centered Surprise
I hadn't heard anything about Jazzab Eau Fine or, for that matter, very much about the brand soOud. I've since learned that the company was founded in 2010 by perfumer Stéphane Humbert Lucas. As a result of my unfamiliarity, I didn't expect much from Jazzab but was pleasantly surprised.
SCENT: This is one of those rare occasions when a scent journey actually adheres to the note breakdown - and pretty much in the same order. The pleasant enough bergamot/lavender opening is followed by iris and a playful, feathery oud which remains, but gives way to soft woodiness in the descent. It's casual, well blended and approachable but those of you intoxicated by challenging oud fragrances won't find it very compelling.
LONGEVITY: 8+ hours on skin that typically absorbs fragrances like lungs absorb oxygen.
SILLAGE: Projects nicely for the first couple of hours then sits within arm's reach for 3 hours or so afterwards.
BOTTLE: Meh.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Excellent value if you can find it in stock on discounters. I couldn't. I hope you have better luck if you decide to try.
