Just your average, "vanilla" vanilla
Like the name and branding suggests, this is just a vanilla scent, nothing more, nothing less. Unfortunately I find the start to be unpleasantly artificial, like those alcohol-based vanilla extracts people use for baking or a not-so-great vanilla syrup. Very sugary-sweet. Later in the drydown it gains a little warmth and creaminess, which makes it much more enjoyable.
I believe that that there might be some florals in this, like the notes list says, but I absolutely don't get any spices.
As a whole, this feels bright, girly and kind of tropical. It's by no means a deep, dark vanilla, but I didn't expect that anyways.
The bright yellow of the bottle design fits the scent well.
One question I often ask myself while sampling and reviewing a fragrance is: What does this bring to the table that others don't? In Solinotes Vanille's case, there is not much. I'm sure it's fine if you really like bright, sugary vanilla and are on a budget, or if you're just starting out and need a vanilla for layering, but if you already have a bigger collection with plenty of vanilla fragrances, I see no reason to add this one.
