Fresh, fruity, wet rose
This review is for the oil.
I can smell the wetness and the soil. Although it's fresh and wet, it's not overly green to me. If I concentrate I can percieve a bit of green, but nothing bitter. In fact it's a bit jammy with the raspberry and lemon. The rose is sweet and the fruitiness reminds me distinctly of Juicy Couture Juicy Couture, which I could recognize anywhere because my cousin used to douse herself in it. Comparing notes, I think it must be the watermelon giving me that impression. This is more interesting than Juicy Couture and more mature/refined, although I'd say it's still suitable for youth.
At first I was put off by that similarity, but over a year it has grown on me and I find myself returning to sniff the vial again and again. I think I will try the EDP and see how it performs in the heat and humidity (I am on a quest to find a couple summer scents for the extreme Texas weather).
Edited to add: The EDP is more floral and less fruity than the oil extrait, although both have that strong note of soil. (Solstice Scents soil notes tend to be very strong on me, moreso than any other brand). Performance from the EDP is powerful. A little goes a long way and it lasts and lasts. It does not change too much throughout the duration--mostly my impression is of a wet, fresh rose. I like it.
