An Every Days Scent
Reading "Marrakech Essenze e Spezie - Ambra e Zafferano" I was aspecting an oriental scent. But the name is almost longer than the description.
"Marrakech Essenze e Spezie - Ambra e Zafferano" is a scent for every days use. It is unisex, fruity, woody, spicy, a sweet gourmand, resinous.
Longevity and sillage are beneath of a cologne though "Marrakech Essenze e Spezie - Ambra e Zafferano" is completely synthetical. This is an exception concerning me because in common synthetically scents use to last for many hours on my skin. But I am going to judge that in this case as a positiv quality.

There was something - or: H-Cream Reincarnation
Mild and sweet is the opening. Very accommodating. During the first hour, I imagine that something fruity is shining through, a cocktail cherry comes to mind.

But that was just the overture. Unfortunately. After an hour, a strange mix has formed. Firstly: amber; secondly: the scent of freshly brewed and completely non-bitter Darjeeling; thirdly: the dusty-sweet aura that hovers over a pot of rock candy. So far, so (very) good. If it weren't for - yuck - condensed milk with its underlying sticky sweetness. Was there something? I am reminded of my experiences with Cuir Blanc and Bois Secret by Evody. In those, I also sensed a kind of milk - could also be H-whipped cream - that I couldn't handle at all.

In the second and third hours, however, the sugary note takes command. At this point, I want to be grateful for that. Afterward, the situation gradually shifts towards the base, and by the fifth hour, a rather conventional amber-vanilla blend is on top. In the seventh hour, the scent is practically gone, leaving only a vanilla-caramel note on the skin for a few more hours, like cream-cow-cows. This is the most pleasant part of the fragrance for me, yet Ambra e Zafferano does not blow me away overall. So let’s keep it short this time. The end.

I thank Ergreifend for the generous sample.

Now, let's be honest
Let's be honest - the price isn't worth mentioning, and with the gold-yellow plastic sprayer, you can't win any awards. It just looks cheap, that thing.
This makes the fragrance quite unattractive for some professionals.
If you ignore the above factors and hold the scented arm under the nose of a layperson, they say 'Hmm, that smells good'.
Why?
Because the fragrance enthusiast is easily impressed by pleasant names and beautiful packaging - and also because they become suspicious when a fragrance is offered at too low a price. And certainly not just the fragrance enthusiast. I wouldn't want to gift such a plastic thing either. And with a fragrance under 10 euros, I also don't have high expectations.
But if I were to transfer the contents of the plastic thing into a nice glass sprayer with a pretty label, I'm sure the fragrance itself would be received quite well.
Because it's not a bad fragrance.
It smells soft, warm, dry - good. Slightly vanilla-sweet, but not sticky.
It provides comfort, especially now in the cold season.
It flatters me, it blends with my skin. And it lasts quite a long time. Applied in the evening, my arm still smells slightly vanilla-sweet the next morning.
It was with my daughter in the clinic - as a piece of mom.
It's a shame that it's no longer being produced.
I'm glad I still have a full plastic thing, the contents of which I will transfer to a nice glass sprayer if needed.

Interesting & light oriental
After being so impressed by "Muschio Bianco" from Tesori d'Oriente and having read almost only positive things about this Italian brand, I made another blind purchase with "Marrakech Essenze e Spezie - Ambra e Zafferano." And once again, I was pleasantly surprised.

The beginning is very spicy. From the start, this fragrance has the same note that also prevails in "Saffron" by Jo Malone for me. The scent is spicy, slightly woody-tarry-balsamic, smoky, and ethereal. Along with this, there is a light amber note from the very beginning, which intensifies towards creaminess as the fragrance develops. I don't find the scent sweet at all, and it reminds me a lot of the much more expensive "Saffron." Of course, it's not a scent twin, but the fundamental character is very similar in both.

I personally associate this fragrance not with Marrakech, but with Venice. And not the summery-warm and friendly Venice, but the autumnal, foggy one. This gloomy, morbid atmosphere is reflected in this scent for me. I have visited Venice not just in summer but also in November, including the Doge's Palace. Somehow, I always think of that when "Marrakech Essenze e Spezie - Ambra e Zafferano" wafts into my nose... The longevity is astonishing. Whenever I think after 3-4 hours that it's gone, the fragrance kicks back in and suddenly reappears. I only need to reapply after 5 hours, which is not bad considering the low price. The sillage is moderate, and I find that pleasant. Often, comparable fragrances have a sillage that is far too strong for me, even if I would generally like them. Thus, this fragrance can easily be worn all year round.

I find the plastic bottle quite pretty, but I'm not entirely sure how long a fragrance can last in a plastic bottle, as it is by no means as airtight as a glass bottle or the aluminum bottles of most Oriente d'Tesori fragrances.

For me, this is my second Tesori, and there will surely be more to come. However, what this fragrance has to do with that pink Cacharel, which is supposed to smell like cherries, is a mystery to me. The closest scent twin that comes to mind is Saffron by Jo Malone. Both smell almost identical, though the Malone lasts longer. But it also costs much more. ;-)

Mmmmhhh beautiful beautiful beautiful!
This fragrance is a little wonder in terms of value for money! I wore Ambra e Zafferano all winter long until I couldn't anymore. It was rather dry, exotic-spicy, and had a vanilla base. With a very light sweetness. Chic and totally unisex, but you can't smell much of the amber. Now, in the warm weather, it comes out a bit differently. A very soft, creamy amber base envelops all the other facets, dampens them, and makes the scent cozier, a little sweeter, and somewhat "more feminine." Still, the fragrance remains light (at least for an oriental) and wearable. The longevity is good, sillage is rather subtle.
Somehow everything just fits here, and I believe I will never empty another 100ml bottle faster than this one. And it doesn't hurt the wallet either, as the prices for the Tesori fragrances are downright ridiculous.
PS: The bottle is made of plastic, but still looks quite nice.

Saffron, the most expensive spice of all, isn’t in here, but there’s plenty of amber-orient synthetic. Others charge €189 for that. You can get it for €9.

Starts off warm, soft, dry, delicately spicy, becomes slightly powdery and stays that way - a little oriental gem.
