Balance
The ancient ayurveda celebrates the balance and this scent is really well balanced: the patchouli notes aren't too "earthy"and strong and the sweet orange at the top is noticeable and very pleasant.
Maybe this fragrance could result a little synthetic, but at about 4 € we have anyway a quite good product in a funny and coloured bottle easy to keep in the bag for a spray at the right moment. Ommmmm........

Smelling good while bending over?
Hey folks, welcome to my latest fragrance review. Today I'm reporting on Ayurveda by Tesori d‘Oriente. Hmm… Ayurveda. This healing art and wellness treatments from India make me think of yoga first. No idea why, maybe because it just seems to belong (to the term Ayurveda), but perhaps also because yoga has been gaining popularity for years. I've never really gotten into yoga, but the older I get and the more I hear my bones crack during certain movements, the more things like yoga start to seem sensible to me...

How about you ladies? You're not getting any younger either (wow, for that statement, I'm sure I'll get a smack on the head…!), I mean, can you still bend over easily? … Okay, that wording was surely unfortunate and I'm sure there's another smack on the head coming my way, argh… :D

He he, anyway, I don't know what scents are typically used in yoga or in Ayurveda wellness therapies (so I'm not familiar with aroma therapies or essential oils), so I can't say whether the fragrance actually smells like these wellness treatments or not, because everything I associate olfactorily with India are meals with curry and generally spicy food and such, mu ha ha ha :D

The Fragrance:
The fragrance opens with orange and pink pepper, so it's citrusy in the top notes, but also sweet and fruity. It also comes across as a bit powdery to me. Shortly after, the powdery aspect becomes significantly more intense, and the fragrance also becomes sweeter. I see that iris is included in the scent, and that's surely the reason for the powdery character of the fragrance. I think iris and the sweet notes smell quite beautiful together, rather feminine, but for some, it might also come off as a bit overwhelmingly opulent.
Later, you can smell a bit of cedar, but it doesn't appear as prominent here as one might expect from cedar, as its somewhat harsh and actually strong scent is likely softened by the many other notes here. I don't mind this, as otherwise, the fragrance might have come off as a bit too masculine instead of unisex. Otherwise, the fragrance does come across as somewhat synthetic, but given the low prices of this brand, that's easy to overlook, especially since the synthetic aspect isn't too off-putting.
However, I find the later base quite unpleasant or disturbing when the fragrance starts to smell rather heavily of opulent and unfortunately somewhat stuffy flowers. Although the scent is still soft and powdery and very sweet, I find the now stuffier aura to be too overwhelming; you know I don't really like that.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is above average and will be quite noticeable in the initial phase after spraying, but it generally lacks endurance, so its intensity fades quickly. The longevity is also just average despite the opulent base, although five to six hours is still a good duration.

The Bottle:
The turquoise bottle looks like a deodorant can, featuring the usual elaborate patterns or images, in this case, floral designs in Indian style. I think it looks quite nice.

Conclusion:
So folks, Ayurveda is certainly not a fragrance that one absolutely must have, as there are better scents from Tesori d‘Oriente. But it’s still quite nice, so a test could be worthwhile for anyone who enjoys powdery sweet fragrances, especially since the price is unbeatable, making it easy to handle any potential mispurchases. I don't like the later base due to the stuffier aura, but maybe that bothers you ladies less.

I just don't know if Ayurveda wellness treatments smell like this, but if anyone enjoys such things, feel free to let me know what scents are usually used when doing hot... uh, I mean, acrobatic yoga poses and so on :DD

The fragrance is usable, well, maybe for going out, or better yet, in your leisure time. I would recommend spring and autumn, as the fragrance might come off as too opulent on hot summer days. Well, that’s it from me. So, have a nice evening and see you next time :)

Oh, if only it would last longer
I like Ayurveda as a shower gel and it keeps coming back to me. I actually wanted to grab the bottle of perfume and head to the checkout, but then I decided to do a test. Good for my wallet, because the scent is, in contrast to the shower gel, not a hit for me. The beginning is citrusy and has everything I like. Also my beloved patchouli, which rounds off many fragrances. But during the time I was putting my purchases in the cart, the scent disappeared. At home, about 20 minutes in the car, it was completely gone. A fresh kick for the height of summer, you can't go wrong with that. But the scent is nothing more and nothing less than just a splash. Not bad for this time of year, but there are better ones, and above all, ones that last longer.

And it lasts and lasts and lasts
After everything started with this scent from the Tesori line for me... now a bit of praise. I first got the Ayurveda shower gel and the bath additive. Completely absorbed in some other activity, I let my bath water run. I'm the type who performs his bathing ritual in the evening, basically washing away the stress and the day, well, I walk through my hallway and say to myself: what smells so good here? Personally, I perceive this orange note and the cedarwood the strongest; iris and patchouli are not to be underestimated either. One tube/bottle after another was emptied without me getting tired of this scent. In the last few days, I have often used the deodorant and I find the H/S to be above average. I simply need this woody orange note because by now, overly rich gourmand notes make me feel nauseous, especially caramel, brown sugar, and now also coconut. Somehow, this scent grounds me. It reminds me of a walk in late summer, forest, orange trees, slowly reddening leaves.

Ayurveda - The Wellness Treatment?
Now I come to the next Tesori test. This time it's the "Ayurveda | Tesori d'Oriente."
Ayurveda literally translates to: the science of long life. The Indians have been practicing this medicine for a very long time. So how does the scent smell?!

The Ayurveda starts off fresh, citrusy, and for me, a bit aquatic... but the aquatic note fades away quite quickly. You get a nice fresh lemon, the sweetness of an orange, and the green spiciness of patchouli. This combination creates a fragrance that allows me to relax. After about half an hour, it diminishes a bit. After about 1 hour, bright woods slowly emerge, which beautifully support the patchouli. However, after about 1½ to 2 hours, the scent has faded away.

Conclusion: For this price, nothing is broken. Perfect for spring/summer, you just have to reapply more often!

I don't like this one... It's suffocating and it makes my nose itchy. I even hated it as a room freshener, was so happy when it was gone.

Perfectly balanced between freshness and warmth, this citrusy-patchouli scent is the perfect everyday perfume at a very small price!

It seems like the shower gel and perfume got swapped.
The shower gel is much nicer (9), stronger (7), + longer-lasting (7).
+ beautifully patchouli-heavy

KN is a freshness bomb. Then it quickly turns into a subtle "freshly groomed" scent.

Indeed similar to "Eau des Merveilles"! But it feels like it's heavily diluted. For fans of subtle sillage... The bottle is amusingly colorful.

Definitely Eau des Merveilles, the original doesn't last well on me either. I spray it on my clothes and it lasts longer. Affordable alternative.
