What Makes Life Worth Living or the Meaning of Life

Ikigai is a Japanese life concept. Wow!!!! What a name for this body spray! But I have to defend a simple drugstore product once again! It couldn’t be called Sakura and neither Ginza. It reminds me of Kenzo's Ikebana Flowers! And also of the scent of my beloved Fa Divine, powdery, a bit soapy, cherry topping warm rice pudding. It also works well on its own. I can’t get enough of the shower cream from this brand either. It’s probably just another phase, but somehow I enjoy living it out with this fragrance from time to time. Maybe to bring back a little piece of summer.

A Touch of Japan, Perhaps...

This is not my first rodeo with Tesori d'Oriente fragrances, and I felt the need to test this new release since I have always had very positive experiences with the Tesori spectrum.

This is evident here as well.

Ikigai is a favorite of mine along with Persian Dream; although I might lean more towards spring with this scent, it is also a refreshing treat on hot summer days. It is not particularly intense - unlike other fragrances from this manufacturer - but it still has that certain something. As usual, I use this fragrance more as a deodorant, as it is not as long-lasting compared to other perfumes, yet I can warmly recommend it to anyone who has become curious.

The Cherry Blossom

I perceive very clearly, the peach gives it a fruity sweetness.
In the heart, it becomes very floral; despite the rose, this scent is not a headache candidate.
The unlisted rice water, which is mentioned on the bottle, stays in the background but remains present.
The base of vanilla, amber, guaiac wood, and patchouli makes it feel almost cozy in the drydown.

Nevertheless, the scent is relatively fresh, reminiscent of a fabric softener.

All in all, a beautiful, light summer fragrance that I can really recommend if you like cherry blossoms.
However, I cannot confirm the comparison to rice pudding.

KN is very creamy, sweet, it will be too much for many. I like that kind of thing.
The rest is quite subtle and fades quickly on my skin.
