Like a comforting shawl
Now I'm finally getting around to sharing my thoughts and feelings about this wonderful fragrance.
On my first and so far only visit to Venice in spring 2023, I was naturally drawn to "The Merchant of Venice". Well prepared by Parfumo, I asked to be allowed to test selected fragrances, but unfortunately none of them really convinced me. But I really didn't want to leave without a fragrance. So I asked the somewhat brittle saleswoman: "Do you have anything else here that I didn't ask for, but that you think would suit me well?"
What happened next was truly magical; it was as if she had looked deep into my soul. The detailed words she found struck me deeply and described my personality really well. But when I smelled it, I was confused. I couldn't find myself in the scent of "Suave Petals" and didn't have a fragrance that even came close to it. "It's just not me. It's not me," I thought. I took a sample with me and sniffed it again and again for the remaining days. I didn't want to be influenced by the lady and trust my first instinct, so I finally decided against the fragrance and opted for "Andalusia Soul". Once I got home, I regretted the purchase relatively quickly. By sniffing it every day, I had closely associated Suave Petals with the wonderful experiences in my dream city.
Suave Petals smells like Venice to me. Or Venice after Suave Petals. It depends.
For me, it is enveloping and comforting. Not like a cozy blanket, but more like a luxurious (soft pink) shawl that an elegant Italian woman gently wraps around your shoulders. It doesn't warm you physically, but emotionally. At the same time, it provides lightness and makes me smile. The fragrance is delicately feminine, fruity-floral with a moderate sweetness and is perfect for spring/summer. I can't smell the fragrance notes individually (most likely the nectarine blossom); for me, everything is perfectly interwoven. I cannot detect patchouli. Of course, I have heard that it is very similar to "For Her" by Narciso Rodrigez and I can confirm this. However, "For Her" has a note that bothers me like a discordant note in music.
Whenever I want to travel to Venice in my mind, I pull out the sample and dream myself away. At some point it will move in here with me. That much is certain. I'd love to buy it from the magical Venetian woman, but I don't think I can hold out that long.

Stronger than time..
... or: what is real?

Yes, there are, these days when the outer world is in discordant disharmony with the inner world. ...where every sensory stimulus needs to be carefully calibrated. Days when dark clouds hang in the sky and your heart is heavy and it is difficult to be grateful. Because sometimes things happen that are completely unexpected, and because sometimes you can only understand life backwards.

The moment this scent found its way to me was one such day. I was on the road in Munich, in the pedestrian zone I stumbled rather aimlessly into a very cute little perfumery, perhaps just wanted to buy a hair band spontaneously. I found that too - together with this simply magical scent it soon found its way into my shopping bag.

And that to me, which I can usually feel up to sneak around a fragrance forever until I buy it or not? When asked if she might show me another nice perfume, I answer the very friendly lady (rather unmotivated on my part), hm yes, why not. She showed me three fragrances, and with this one not only my nose but also my heart was jumping. Suddenly a rose-golden-warm ray of light in the grey cloud sky. Oh??!!
"Suave Petals" is at first very tender and full of lightness, like a touch of peach grove, fruity, and somehow also delicious. After this has settled down, very harmonious, white-flowery-decent chords join in quietly ... and what remains is a soft, gentle and yet amazingly long-lasting scent that really accompanies me all day long. It is a little bit pleasantly woody, but never loud, and I can hardly perceive patchouli in my room. In no time he has become like a kind of good friend for me (although never a replacement for the living one I recently tragically lost), but one who also takes me in his arms wordlessly when I need it, and thinks of a blanket in which I can snuggle up. Since he moved in with me a few weeks ago, the choice is easy every morning. He has become a loyal companion for me, and when I wear him, I actually have a smile in my heart - and in my ears the song by the always cool Udo Lindenberg "Stronger than time", which has a special meaning for me in many ways. A consolation? No. It should not and cannot. But like a tenderly coloured rainbow in the storm-front dark summer sky, with a shimmer of golden hope in it

The door
In a small hidden garden, surrounded by a high brick wall covered with ivy, behind a curtain of ivy, ferns and moss, one finds an old heavy wooden door. The colour has long since faded and crumbled away. But you can still see here and there that she must have been painted cheerfully in a muted green. In the isolated cracks a remnant of this beautiful color has set off.
Why not give the door a little push and visit this obviously enchanted place in a flash?
-The years of neglect take their toll.
On quiet soles one steals oneself in carefully.........
The scent:
I clearly recognize the sweet peach. It's a ripe fruit already. Densely followed by slightly milky oranges? Maybe this is a fine mixture of pineapple and vanilla, but I would have sworn by the light citric.....and only the apple. More like the blossom of the fruit. The leaves float sensuously and temptingly in the creamy wind.
I don't like tuberose, but here it's integrated into the garden. It gently, almost motherly underlines the rose, which has fully unfolded its flowers in the blazing midday sun.
Actually I don't like roses that much either, but here she doesn't seem to be the queen of fragrances, but to underline the emerging idyll. It's like the artist's signature on his painting. These flowers complete the picture of the secret garden. Again and again another fragrance component flashes to let another one take precedence.

Sweet is the scent, but fine. Not too pushy. More delicate, playful floral. A gentle fragrance, also not dominant, but very delicate, almost ethereal.
It lasts between 7 and 8 hours on me, but close to my body. It goes without saying that he would also be able to bitch violently at overdose or even cause headaches, but honestly, who wants that already?
A spring scent, or a scent for light days, not too warm, but so warm that you would like to dip your feet in the water.
A scent for femininity, the joy of life, the butterfly wing beat moment, the being one with oneself and nature.

Conclusion:
A butterfly flap to forget the sounds of the world. A secret garden for the special moments of life.
Not femme fatal, not domina, rather romantic, dainty graceful and yet so beautiful

Floral Purity
Suave Petals was a blind purchase... Something went wrong with the order... finally I have somehow ordered 2 bottles "laugh":) like stupid...

Arrived at my place, I had to try Suave pedals right away... "I hope it's good - after all you somehow managed to order two of them, you idiot!" I thought quietly :)

Sprayed on my arm, the sun is coming up... I smell peach and nectarine blossoms, so fresh and pure... absolutely delicate and young.....

A beautiful, adult and noble white rose and a good Briiiiese musk... The ingredients are really well matched....

....simply lovely and tender... "Thank God it's exactly my thing":)

Suave Petals is for me a fragrance that can be worn at a wedding... Delicately conspicuous and yet somehow inconspicuous, fresh, pure and wonderfully floral....

I'm glad my mishap happened with ordering this fragrance, because Suave Petals I really like very :)

Suave Petals has no particularly large breast-feeding and also the durability is rather mediocre with me with 4-5 hours... but you can spray several times ;P
