Joy of Life in a Bottle
A new catch for this summer: Arancia Brasile from the Accordi di Profumi line by the Italian house The Merchant of Venice. This brand from Venice is better known for its beautiful bottles from other lines, such as Arabesque or the wonderful "Andalusian Soul | The Merchant Of Venice," which I find very good and enjoy wearing. This Accordi di Profumi line includes many fragrances, mainly fresh scents. Many themes already seem exciting and will probably be tested by me, at least some of them.
Officially, it is an Eau de Parfum, at least that's what it says on the bottom of the bottle. Anyone who thinks this fragrance performs well because of that will be disappointed after the first wear. I didn't buy this scent to get many hours of longevity. These extremely authentic fruity scents simply don't last long, even with other brands. Orange Sanguine is a bit better in that regard, but such fragrances are generally more for that short summery freshness kick. For people who have little to do with perfume, this is more of a flop due to its miserable performance, but for experienced perfume lovers, it is a lovely treat in between.
The 30ml size is perfect for the bag or for taking along for that freshness kick. 30ml is the only size that regularly costs around €60. In my opinion, it is not worth that price, but you can get it for about €35. The bottle looks rather cheap, at least in appearance. Otherwise, it is well-made and serves its purpose. The box is also quite plain, in stark contrast to the other lines.
The scent itself is quite simple-fruity. I like such authentic fruity scents like Orange Sanguine or Arancia di Capri. In terms of fragrance, it is very one-dimensional towards authentic orange. This scent smells as if you have peeled an orange and are smelling the peel. A delightful juicy orange that simply makes you happy and brings back joy for a moment. The namesake is the Brazilian orange. Probably more marketing, but this orange does smell quite ordinary yet pleasantly good. Besides the orange, there are also citrus fruits in the pyramid. This scent is very fruity and also a bit citrusy-sparkling and slightly bitter. A wonderful juicy-fruity sweetness that feels 0.0 synthetic.
Performance is, of course, not good. You get 1-2 hours of longevity, after which it is completely gone. That's just how fruity scents are, especially since there is no wood or similar notes included. Fruits and citrus are usually only suitable as top notes. Nevertheless, this scent is great for a freshness kick with sunny happy vibes.
Overall, this fragrance is worth it for fans of authentic orange for a quick refresh. For about €35, it's a nice gimmick for the summer.
