An absolute beauty

This is simply gorgeous. This is a sweet, caramel-y, resinous, slightly oudy scent, with a hint of saffron at the top. It's deep, yet not challenging at all. It's familiar, albeit does something differently to fragrances of a similar vein. Performance is pretty good, long lasting but not overpowering, and one that I can keep smelling and not get sick of. Perfectly unisex. Great for a night out or cold weather, might be a little too rich for any sort of heat. It is quite expensive, but it definitely smells like its price. An absolute must try if this type of fragrance is your bag.

I love it

Even if it's similar to Indomabile Morph, the quality of materials is more high (of course), and also the bottle is precious and amazing.
A very deep gourmand but never sickening.
Also Sillage is strong.
Can't be a mistake also in blind buy if you like those notes.
This's one of my jewel in fragrances collection.

Interesting Fragrance - like but not love

This is the second The Merchant of Venice fragrance which I have, the other is Arabesque. I must confess I blind bought this fragrance because it was on a huge sale on Maxaroma and because of the hype. While I find the fragrance interesting, I love Arabesque more. I am reading the reviews here, and I am surprised that I am an exception and do not get the Praline, toffee sweetness described, to my nose this is a woody spicy (saffron patchouli) scent. On my skin the performance is average 4 hours skin scent.

As I mentioned this is an interesting fragrance which I like and I will macerate it for a month and hopefully it will develop to a more deeper profile. I will come back with an update.

Truly unisex praline & oud combo.

A perfume rich in spices and oud that could hold its head up high alongside all the other awesome Arabic perfumes I've had the privilege of sampling. The praline is deep, not sweet at all and it mixes really well with the oud. The presence of the praline makes it truly unisex, a perfume that a woman as well as a man can pull off. The projection is not over the top, with two sprays you can still wear this to the office, but two days later, I can still feel this going strong on my clothes.

Un parfum bogat in mirodenii si oud care poate fi purtat cu mândrie de orice Arab, cot la cot cu tot ce am mirosit prin excursiile mele prin Orientul Mijlociu, proiectat in stânga si-n dreapta de your average Joe Arab. Pralina e adâncă, nu are o dulceață înăbușitoare a la BR540, un alt amestec de care mă lovesc la fiecare metru pătrat in aceasta regiune a lumii. Desi notele afișate aici ar sugera ceva feminin, mie mi-se pare undeva mai la mijloc, de-a dreptul unisex. Proiecția este destul de modestă: doua sprayuri generoase pe brat, si totuși mă încadrez in ceea ce aș considera bun simt. Longevitatea este ce il face deosebit: doua zile și încă il simt destul de bățos si asertiv pe haine, inshallah!

Dinner for two

This wonderful composition reminds me of that. You're sitting in a good restaurant in the evening with a pretty girl opposite you. A bottle of wine on the table. Outside, the last leaves are slowly falling from the trees as winter approaches. The Vinegia21 is the perfect silent companion for this occasion, et voilá perfection.

This fragrance is definitely my favorite from the repertoire of The Merchant of Venice. It starts off charmingly gourmand. You can smell the saffron and the sweetness of the praline, the cinnamon rounds off the whole thing rather subliminally. The combination of frankincense, myrrh and the sweetness of vanilla creates a very well-balanced sweetness with a spicy oriental flair. In any case, it is very complex, but I find that the woody components tend to play in the background here. Anyone expecting a strikingly perceptible classic oud note will not get their money's worth. In my opinion, the development here goes from a clear gourmand in the opening to an oriental one. In the drydown, a dominant sweetness remains that is still slightly spicy with an oriental touch. Summed up in one word, elegance.

Perfect for going out in the evening or for a date. Sillage is just right for the aforementioned occasions, pleasantly strong but not too penetrating. Longevity is also strong here. On clothes for several days, still clearly perceptible on the skin after 9 hours. I find the bottles of the Murano Exclusive Collection by The Merchant of Venice all stunningly designed, definitely an eye-catcher!
In my experience, a very unknown fragrance, which makes it all the more interesting.
