What's the difference?
One of my very favorite fragrances in the world has had an offspring.
First of all: the fragrance is extremely close to the OG. The DNA is 1:1 the same. The individual differences are only noticeable in the side-by-side test, in the air they are minimal.
It doesn't start out quite as citrusy, and is somewhat denser and "heavier" overall, which takes away some of its "freshness factor". A slight creaminess has also been added to the base.
The dominant fragrance note here is definitely the orange blossom on a slightly citrusy base, at first I also have the impression that some neroli emerges between the citrus notes. I can't smell pepper or cypress.
Overall, the fragrance performs slightly better than its predecessor, H&S are slightly better. However, the normal Neroli Amara matures very well.
Summa sumarum: A creamy, not quite as fresh, somewhat denser Neroli Amara. It is slightly less sweet than the original.
Whether you need both: in my opinion not absolutely necessary, especially if you consider the price factor. However, I don't regret buying it as I really love this fragrance.
