A light boozy cherry & almond
I’m a huge fan of cherry scents and have tried them all. This was a blind buy based on reviews, and is now the 8th cherry in my collection. Did I need this? … not really.

Moonlight Cherry is a very nice, light, boozy cherry and almond scent. Compared to others I have, it isn’t anything special or unique. It smells like lots of other cherry scents available, as the many comparisons show. I can’t really say it’s identical to any one cherry, but it’s closest to Bodacious in my opinion. It’s certainly not the best out there, but longest lasting maybe. Cherry on Top remains my all time favourite, everyday Cherry. I don’t regret burying this though, and will still very much enjoy wearing it. Unsure if I’d repurchase it, purely based on the others I own. Who knows, it may grow to become a favourite down the line. It’s still a quality cherry scent. I’ve updated my rating as feel it still deserves a decent score of 9.5/10

Déjà-vu
Do we know each other? You look familiar to me. :)

But who do you remind me of?

At the beginning, I perceive a sweet, almondy cherry, paired with a hint of rum and the quiet presence of brewed coffee. It creates a sweet-spicy, slightly woody opening, which, however, quickly transforms.

The added warming vanilla and the nuances of soothing tolu balsam pave the way for a fruity-gourmand fragrance experience and prevent an overly "sticky" sweetness initiated by the almost opulent cherry.
The two warm, sensual base notes thus jointly, along with the cherry, represent the main characters of the fragrance for now.

With the now light touch of almond and the presence of musk in the base, I also encounter a subtle creaminess.
It is said to captivate the fragrance after about 15 minutes in the drydown.

The cherry noted at the beginning gradually fades. What remains is a lightly creamy-sweet gourmand scent, guided only by modern vanilla and almond notes, tolu balsam, and especially by musk.

It is, of course, a pleasant, soothing fragrance experience.

However, it is not what I had hoped for. I have long been searching for a sour cherry like in "Lost Cherry (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford," which can be crowned as long-lasting.

Despite the great hope and overwhelming feeling after the first spray, Moonlight Cherry could not capture me.

little love but still another cherry scent
I have tested Moonlight Cherry by Van Cleef & Arpels several times now (thankfully, this great brand found its way to my local drugstore a few weeks ago) and each time I am close to buying it.

Creamy-powdery cherry with a liqueur note - sweet but not too intrusive. A scent that clearly belongs to winter for me and immediately makes me think of hand warmers, mulled wine, and an elegant outfit.
With cherry scents, I always fear that the fruity sweetness will become too much for me after a few hours, but since Moonlight Cherry smells very soft and somewhat dark, I believe that won't happen.
Unfortunately, I can't pick out the coffee note at all; if I hadn't read it in the fragrance pyramid, I wouldn't have missed it either.

The longevity on my skin is quite acceptable. The paper tester from my last drugstore visit has been in my jacket pocket for over a week now and still smells like the first day :D
What I particularly like is that the scent hardly changes. It only becomes weaker without losing the fruity notes.

What has held me back from buying it every time so far is that there are currently just so many good cherry scents on the market; it feels like every manufacturer is releasing their own alcoholic cherry scent - making the decision not so easy.

Vu le peu d'avis sur leurs parfums et leur note j'ai l'impression qu'on essaie de nous les survendre

Bitter almond and cherry meet over coffee, but then switch to fine rum. The last glass was too much, now °°°

Delicate dark bitter almond on a light rum-cherry, caught by a bed of vanilla - all in all, a subtle fragrance.

Dark cherry drizzled with rum, beautifully accompanied by a lovely bitter almond in the background. The coffee perfectly rounds it all off!

Ah, I thought I’d let the cherries pass by… But you are elegant, subtle, yet sexy, a bit boozy… everything draws me to you…

3min. Hold your nose (if you don't like marzipan). After that, dark, ripe, juicy, bittersweet cherry. Mysterious. Beautiful.

Wow! A mega cherry scent. Not like Lost Cherry but a bit darker and "evil"
. Lasts significantly longer in comparison. A hidden gem!

Not really new - cherry and bitter almond are dominant, I don't notice the coffee. H/S is rather mediocre - a subtle gourmand.
