A rose by any other name
Would smell as sweet? This is sweet, but nothing over the top. The name is apt: she is definitely a red rose somewhere on the border between girlie and femme, she hasn't quite made up her mind. She's wearing a Dior rouge but still hasn't graduated from skinny jeans and Converse. She's definitely better in cold weather because that sweetness with rose on a steamy summer day? Uhm, not advisable. The cocoa (and vanilla?!) becomes more prominent in the dry down, so kind of an interesting combination for our rose, at least I haven't seen this combo before. It doesn't seem to last beyond a few hours and I've almost showered in it. A pleasant rose perfume, but not something I would run out to buy.

Not my rose
As a rose lover, I had to try this fragrance, which is part of a brand line that is giving me a lot of satisfaction.
Unfortunately this did not happen with this creation: The Rose here is very sugary, candied, and too synthetic. In short, I love this flower in its pure, spring-like, or perhaps dark, meanings, but where it has a leading role.
Here I don't see it as such, and the whole frame is not to my liking, but obviously it's my own taste.
The persistence, contrary to what I have read, is good, I would recommend it more during the cool seasons.

Fleeting rose
I tested California Reverie, Moonlight Patchouli (which I prefer to this for winter time) and both this and Rose Velour (now discountinued, it seems) - indeed a very good concoction.
BUT.
Sillage at 4ft for 5 minutes, then it goes down to skin scent.
AND. Longevity here is an issue to me, as non existent!

For this price, and such amazing work, I am expecting more. As in MORE, because here there's little to be happy about, even in hot days when generally scents perform a bit better. Such a pity!!!

I am definitely heartbroken.

Rose Rouge - The Name is Only Partially Programmatic
Rose Rouge, a fragrance with gourmand undertones, is definitely very sweet.

On the paper strip, I liked the perfume in the initial phase; you can smell the slightly bitter sweetness of cocoa, and it has a somewhat powdery, but also slightly milky scent. So, the execution is not bad at all. Over time, especially on my skin, it becomes too cloying for me, as an additional fruity note becomes apparent. Overall, it’s just too much of a good thing for me.
Less might have been more.
However, this is just my personal taste that opposes the whole thing.
For fans of this direction, a test might still be worthwhile.
The rose note is already recognizable; it accompanies the other notes for a few hours, but it should have been the focal point for me. Overall, I find the scent progression not entirely linear. The notes fluctuate. Sometimes the perfume shimmers fruity-floral, and sometimes it almost seems edible. The pronounced sweetness provides some warmth in the cool season, but it gets too hot for me with this fragrance. You really have to like it.
In the end, the patchouli note stands out for me.
Certainly not a bad conclusion, but the great enthusiasm is lacking. Here and there, it also seems somewhat synthetic. However, that is not my biggest point of criticism. I was expecting an opulent rose, that is, the scent of a bouquet of roses, sweetly framed.
If you are looking for something like that, you won't find it here, as all the other notes claim too much space for themselves. The longevity is about 7 to 8 hours. Rose Rouge is not even easy to wash off.
The inclined wearer can also leave an impression with Rose Rouge in the surroundings. It does create a decent scent trail.
The quality in these aspects is not to be criticized.
The new Miss Dior variant (Edp) is more pleasant for me. The fragrances are not directly comparable, but there are indeed parallels; both contain a lot of patchouli and are also rosy-fruity and subtly woody. However, Miss Dior cannot be categorized in the gourmand genre and is overall a bit lighter and airier.
In the end, it is of course all a matter of taste. Rose Rouge is certainly not a fragrance with which one should better stay in one’s own four walls.

I Like This Rose
The second Van Cleef & Arpels....roses....I have only liked so far in the flower vase. However, this rose convinces me just so, and despite only a timid test spray, I feel like I’m nestled on fluffy silky rose petals. The cocoa also wants attention and dusts the petals....too sweet, you think....please don’t think of Nebras. Through the blackcurrant, pepper, vetiver, and patchouli, you have a fresh accent in places, the rose absolutely not artificial or synthetic, a perfect feminine scent. Spring is the best time to show #Van Cleef & Arpels Rose Rouge the big wide world. Oh, the fragrance is so beautiful, one feels like the world is at one’s feet.

1 of the sweetest roses in my collection, so addictive! I smell Raspberry+Vanilla, tgthr w/ Blackcurran create a marmalade/jammy like aroma.

A delicate rose that gains depth through fruit. The sweetness of the fruit is finely balanced by slightly tart blackcurrant!

I'm with Netti77: Delina is sweeter and less fresh. Rose, fruit, and cocoa. Vetiver tries to tone down the sweetness but doesn't come through.

So good! Delicious fruity rose dusted with cocoa.. Hmm! Soft, round, a nose pleaser. Wonderful combo. Bring on the bottle!

Noble Rose - velvety, slightly fruity - with a heart of chocolate. Patch subtly spices it up & light musk rounds it off. Elegant, refined & sensual.

First a sweet blackcurrant liqueur, then hot cocoa. Then quickly hand over a little rose. Too little rose for me.

A "syrupy" rose,
almost like rose juice/tea
sweet
a hint of green
subtly spiced with patchouli
later becomes vanillic (cocoa?)

Sweetly warming elegant rose that reminds me a lot of "13 Brûlure de Rose" by Pierre Guillaume. Here it's just too synthetic for me...
