A blend that doesn't work
To me this smells like a mix of fresh, wet laundry right out of the washing machine and a sharp rosy fruitchouli. There are no fruity notes listed, but the rose in this is sweet and has a fruity vibe, as if there was a litchi or berry note added. The patch is a little earthy and peppery at first, but ultimately turns out sharp and clean.
The opening is intensely aldehydic, but I wouldn't call the scent old-fashioned. These are fresh laundry aldehydes, not the stuffy vintage kind.
In my opinion these soapy aldehydes and patchy rose don't work together all that well. It's an okay scent, very clean and inoffensive, but it can't keep up with the other VC&A fragrances I tried.
I also find the name very unfitting. If you expect something like TF White Patchouli, you will likely be disappointed. This has more rose than patchouli and if scents had a color, I'd say this would be a semi-transparent hot pink and not white.
So, not what I expected at all. Maybe lovers of soapy rose perfumes will appreciate it more.
