Girly mixed punch drink.
Chrome Peony is pretty...and exceedingly sweet. I saw this at a thrift store today and was happy to smell it because I had read decent reviews.
To me however, the sweetness is verging on corn syrup, and smells of hyper-sweet soda with a hint of berry. However, the berry isn't tart at all, it smells like a berry punch, and I personally find it cloying.
There is a distinct effervescent quality about this, but I personally never did care for sparkling berry punch or the type of New Year's fruit bowl types of drinks that this evokes. I do think it lives up to the notes, but my tolerance for hype-sweet berries and wine is pretty low.
I passed on the bottle, but I hope it finds a good home
