Tahitian-vanilla "fresh laundry"
Don't be fooled - despite being a shimmer mist, this is actually really lovely; plus it's a truly-new scent from VS (I haven't tried anything else similar from them).
While this starts out with a brief coconut nectar opening, it quickly moves into the bulk of the fragrance: a Tahitian vanilla "fresh laundry" blend. The note breakdown for me is:
[30% Tahitian vanilla] more subtle at this point, see below for more detail
[50% Tahitian vanilla] an almost "fruity"-like tropical-feeling vanilla, with a "vanilla yogurt" type of quality to it
[40% "fresh laundry"] I believe this is the "sea breeze" note mentioned; it does feel like laundry that was line-dried by the ocean - a quiet hint of salty sea breeze, but mostly feels like a solar cotton/fresh linens that are "neutral" (not overly sweet, floral, musky, etc.)
- Mild projection: not a "beast" performer, but a bit softer; perfect for the office or sensitive noses
- Decent sillage: was nice to catch wafts of myself when moving my arms
- Good longevity (for a mist): up to 4 hours for stronger wear, then much weaker after
Fresh Vanilla Blossoms (the "fresh vanilla" part)
Beachfront Blanket (the "solar linens" component)
Coconut (2024) (the warm coconut), and
Sea Island Shore (the sea-infused fresh laundry/linens)
So if you like any of the above, you might also enjoy Coconut Sol Shimmer !
While this starts out with a brief coconut nectar opening, it quickly moves into the bulk of the fragrance: a Tahitian vanilla "fresh laundry" blend. The note breakdown for me is:
OPENING:
[70% coconut nectar] much more present in the beginning, this is slightly indolic and sweet; a nectar-like take on traditional coconut (I picture honeysuckle combined with creamy coconut)[30% Tahitian vanilla] more subtle at this point, see below for more detail
DRY-DOWN (after 10-15 minutes):
[10% coconut nectar] faint background player to me at this point, only noticeable if focusing hard[50% Tahitian vanilla] an almost "fruity"-like tropical-feeling vanilla, with a "vanilla yogurt" type of quality to it

OVERALL:
A fresh, clean, tropical vanilla choice for summer!WEARING:
- Smells the same on my skin as it does on paper- Mild projection: not a "beast" performer, but a bit softer; perfect for the office or sensitive noses

SIMILAR BLENDS:
If you've smelled any of these, I'd say it smells like a combination of: Fresh Vanilla Blossoms (the "fresh vanilla" part)
Beachfront Blanket (the "solar linens" component)
Coconut (2024) (the warm coconut), and
Sea Island Shore (the sea-infused fresh laundry/linens)
So if you like any of the above, you might also enjoy Coconut Sol Shimmer !
A NOTE ABOUT THE SHIMMER:
There are a variety of shimmer/glitter mists out there, and Coconut Sol Shimmer is definitely more of a "shimmer" rather than a "glitter" mist. Meaning it's a "fine" or small-piece shimmer, rather than chunky or larger pieces of glitter. The amount of shimmer was also small on my skin, in comparison to the concentration/amount you see when looking at the bottle. After I applied it on my skin, the shimmer was present but not particularly noticeable. It also didn't rub off to other objects/clothing/etc. - but it might be that I wasn't particularly heavy-handed in application, and I also waited for it to dry (especially because this is more "runny"/prone to dripping than the non-shimmer mists) before having any contact with other fabrics/things.
