Why this fragrance is so torn apart here (at least in terms of ratings) is a mystery to me. There are hardly any alternatives to
Gentle Fluidity (Silver) - however, here we have a valid option. If you don't want to spend a fortune on US import clones or questionable Instagram oil mixers, you're already well served here, let me summarize that briefly:
No, the
Varakh Silver is not a 1:1 copy that you couldn't distinguish from the original in a blind test. Nevertheless, it gives off the "vibes" of the original at an unbeatable price. Not least because this DNA is perfect for a (currently even my) daily wear, the price should not be overlooked.
Let me go into detail:
In the opening, we are probably the furthest from the original. Of course, this fragrance does not unfold as delicately as the original. So far, none of the MFK dupes I have tested have been able to match the original. While you can sense the DNA, the
Varakh Silver is still distinctly greener. Here, I primarily perceive a stronger juniper note; however, upon spraying, the familiar clean-green feeling (especially due to the musk note) is present. Just not as well balanced as the MFK scent.
In the drydown, we are closer. I would say around 85-90%. So clean and almost as elegant as the original, we have a nice variation of musk, woods, and nutmeg here. The juniper note (yes, what everyone calls gin) remains omnipresent throughout the entire progression.
The longevity is decent. Not as brilliant as the original, but it projects well on my skin for about 5-6 hours, and on clothing, it remains moderate the next day. Reapplying is probably the least of the problems at this price:
The elephant in the room is, of course, the price. I'm not quite sure what some people expect here. That a €20 fragrance unfolds as well and projects better than an original that costs more than ten times the price? That every clone must be better than the original? Let's keep the church in the village.
Does the fragrance from FW make the original obsolete? No. I will definitely get it again "for special moments" someday. However, with the "Varakh Silver | Fragrance World," I have the DNA of
Gentle Fluidity (Silver) at hand every day without having to think about the fact that my daily scent is driving me to ruin.
