A fragrance for ladies
So Elixir Eau de Toilette I bought in 2010 as a Christmas present for my daughter.
She was just beginning to be a teenager, began to take an interest in fragrances and during my Christmas stroll around town I ended up in the Yves Rocher shop, among other shops Somehow I fiehl me this smell into the eye, briefly tested, as beautifully found and taken along.
My little one was very happy about her first real "ladies perfume" and she liked it too.
Now she doesn't wear it anymore and has found her style and likes more lighter scents, especially with lilac.
Today only the Eau de Parfum is available and when the EdT was on sale at Yves Rocher I bought a bottle out of sentimentality. Fragrances are also valuable memories.
When I opened it and sprayed it on myself, I thought to myself: Why didn't I buy it for myself earlier? He is beautiful and ladylike for women no matter if young or not so young anymore.
So Elixir has a sweet-floral and powdery scent character. Sweet, but still bearable and something adult noble always resonates. So despite his flowery sweetness he is not a sticky sweet teen scent from which you get a headache.
It starts with bergamot and lots of pink pepper. The sweetness starts immediately and the scent becomes more flowery. Jasmine dominates over roses, which I don't perceive so strongly here. Over time, the fragrance becomes a little more powdery, but only minimal. In the base, which is still sweet, shows patchouli and warm tonka bean.
All in all it is a bright, warm, friendly, flowery and powdery fragrance with a hint of sweetness, which I find very successful. It also has a certain resemblance to Coco Madmoiselle, who could have served as a role model.
The bottle is pear-shaped, clear at the top and milky at the bottom. The durability is good, can not complain.
I have worn the EdP of it, too, but until now I have hardly worn it to be able to analyse the differences exactly. I mean, it's barely powdery, but it's "resinier".
Anyway, both are beautiful scents and maybe a comment about the EdP will follow.
