Bitter-fresh rays of sunshine
What impressions can be created with just 2 main fragrance notes is quite astonishing. And again, it is Amandine Clerc-Marie, whose olfactory signature I have already seen in another Yves Rocher perfume: Cuir de Nuit Eau de Parfum, which is quite complex.
But it can also showcase the simpler formulas well. Here I have a "sunny" fragrance under my nose, which for me represents the Mediterranean rather than the tropics, but still creates a real vacation feeling. I see myself in a grove of bitter orange trees with ripe fruit hanging from them. I hold one of them in my hand and rub the peel. An intense, bitter-fresh aroma wafts towards me. It is accompanied by the scent of flowers that are also reminiscent of citrus fruits, somewhat - but not TOO sweet - similar to the scent of blood oranges and white scented narcissi. Underneath, a soft earthy tone, also somehow grassy and green.
Macchia plants immediately spring to mind, which also thrive in dry soils. Sunny orange is the predominant color - but by no means too hot, because there is always a cool, pleasantly perceived "bitter-fresh wind" - class!!!
