Generic? Not if used daily
This is a pleasant scent, even with a little bit of over spray.
People will notice it and say it smells nice, and of course they'll say, "Is that too much" and chuckle when you have over sprayed, but does that mean this is a cloy sweet bomb? No.
Yes, it is a generic "BLUE", but also to an average nose it is registered to nice, inoffensive, and what you get is compliments and a good company.
I'd say give it a try and use it daily.
It's not something you'd self-doubt a bit when wearing like Dior Sauvage or Bleu de Chanel, what more is there to say (that would make you want to try it out? :) ).
