Perfect caramel affordable perfume (Similar to Hypntic Poison EDT, Scandal Le Parfum and Cheirosa 71)

¡A spectacular perfume! My all-time favorite is Hypnotic Poison by Dior EDT and this one from Zara mimics it quite well. Caramel, vanilla and jasmine substitute quite well for the exquisite blend of Hypnotic Poison EDT. It looks like a mix between HP and JPG’s Scandal Le Parfum. It has become one of my usual purchases for when I want to smell amazing, but without spending my expensive perfumes; for when I want to do layering with a perfume that lacks a gourmand touch or that is too floral and bright or even to wear alone or accompany it from SDJ’s Cheirosa 71 (I swear it’s the perfect caramel aroma). Its performance is quite good: good duration and good projection, does not smell of alcohol (except when just sprayed) unlike other perfumes from Zara. Of course it does not last or project as much as an expensive perfume, but it does a lot, especially in clothes, I have clothes from the previous day that still smell. Also, the reason why I buy it, I love it and it has an excellent price, I do not mind overdoing it or taking a decant from the bag because it is worth it.

A cheapie called Hypnotic Vanilla - what could this be?

No surprises here: This is a Hypnotic Poison dupe. Not dupe as in "literally exactly the same", but as in "heavily inspired by it".

It smells a little softer than the original, less spicy and rubbery - it's actually somewhere halfway between Hypnotic Poison and Kenzo Amour.
Now I never found Hypnotic Poison and Amour particularly similar and I've always been much more of an Amour fan, but when I smell a scent like this that bridges the gap between them, I can see why some people think they're related.
If I had to describe this without relating it to other perfumes, I would call it a soft, warm and creamy blend of vanilla and bitter almonds. It doesn't change all that much over the duration of the scent, it's simple and cozy and enveloping. Nice, but really not exciting if you have already smelled several vanilla and almond perfumes.
It wouldn't add anything to my collection and I absolutely prefer Amour over this.

But to be fair, it could work for someone on a budget who doesn't have a huge collection yet. The world might not be in desperately need of the umpteenth Hypnotic Poison knockoff, but at least it's a good one that doesn't smell cheap or abrasive.

Warm vanilla fragrance

A warm, addictive vanilla fragrance that immediately envelops you like a soft blanket. It is strongly reminiscent of Poison Girl, but is easier to wear and more suitable for everyday use. Worthwhile blind purchase

So far, I have bought all the Zara perfumes in my collection blind. Simply because of the descriptions on the internet. And I have to admit, I've never been disappointed so far.

Not even with Hypnotic Vanilla. I only read that it is supposed to be a dupe for HP in the statements here after buying and testing it. I remember trying HP in a perfumery a long time ago, but overall I didn't really like the fragrance that much. Somehow it was too intrusive and too penetrating for me.

Hypnotic Vanilla is a little different. Yes, I can't deny a certain similarity to HP, but there's something about this Zara fragrance that makes the little difference for me to really like it. Maybe it's a little softer and less overpowering than the original. I don't know, but apart from any similarities, Hypnotic Vanilla is a very nice, soft and warm vanilla powder heliotrope fragrance for me, almost gourmand, quite sweet but not too sweet.

A hint of flowers in combination with a subtle spiciness makes it seem quite oriental. A very feminine and sensual fragrance. For the usual Zara price, it also has very, very good longevity and sillage.

Lovers of sweet vanilla fragrances will definitely get their money's worth here and you can't really go wrong for the price.
