Sweet blind buy

I can't say anything about the similarity to other fragrances already mentioned, as I haven't sniffed Oriana or LDBS yet. But perhaps it also has the advantage that I can approach this fragrance with an open mind.

Basically, I don't think you can go too far wrong with Zara perfumes, as they offer quite good fragrances for a low price.

Velvet Shadow is a nice sweet gourmand, a fruity marshmallow scent with a subtle mandarin note that goes on my skin very straightforwardly and doesn't undergo any particular development, but has quite acceptable sillage and longevity for the price.

For lovers of sweet gourmands, this is certainly a pleasing, pleasant fragrance that you can't go far wrong with. Warm, cozy, sweet, but not too sticky and not too overpowering.

For the price, you should definitely give it a try if you like sweet fragrances like me!

Unfortunately a bad buy

I find that it does not smell like Kilian LDBS at all. I myself have the LDBS and also the one from Oriana as a sample, but this one from Zara smells more like Oriana than the one from LDBS. There is something in the LDBS that I like the most, maybe it's the amber? I don't know. Anyway, a bit warmer, more gourmand and even more sugary than the one from Zara. I don't like the one from Zara, unfortunately. It doesn't last long. Smells somehow "cheap". So according to the motto therefore diced with the fragrance notes, although there is not so much inside and tada there is a dupe to LDBS. It's really hard to find a 1to1 dupe of LDBS. If you love the LDBS, better buy the original one. Somehow no one can match it, not even a dupe, because it smells really "unique". However, if you like the perfume of PDM Oriana, then try the Velvet Shadow. I don't think Oriana is good either. There is this raspberry inside, which I do not like and also does not smell like LDBS rather more this Velvet Shadow from Zara.

Inexpensive and good dupe

Objectively speaking, this is a good perfume.
The fragrance is sweet and pleasant. People who like sweet scents will love it. It is definitely a dupe of Oriana and LDBS. Of course, the fragrance does not come close to the original but for the money you can overlook it very well.
H/S are good. Especially for the price. The durability for me was at least 6 hours.

Subjectively, I can say that this is not my fragrance. I might spray it on again in winter to see how I feel about it in the cold, but I don't find it suitable for me at this time of year.
Also, the scent dries a bit "cheap" on my skin. Not acrid or scratchy. Just a bit unattractive. I'll have to test the fragrance on my clothes.

For the price, you can't go wrong. Good alternative to two fragrances that are very expensive.

Favorite ZARA fragrance

When I read the note Marshmallow, this fragrance didn't appeal to me at all. I wanted to buy a different fragrance at Zara and didn't even bother to smell this one. When I was standing at the checkout and waiting, I changed my mind and smelled it after all, but didn't expect much and then... I was shockingly in love. The scent grabbed me and I couldn't stop sniffing it. I was spellbound. I actually bought a 30ml and a 100ml bottle. Normally I like to test a perfume over several days, but here I was more certain than ever before. The 30ml bottle was empty within a month.
The perfume smells very sweet, partly like sugar. It's that kind of gourmand that could smell like a dessert. The fragrance is elegant and lively at the same time. In my opinion, it can be worn all year round, morning and evening. The sillage and longevity are fine. I definitely have to re-spray when I wear it, but that doesn't bother me.

Feminine energy

I see this as the perfect scent for brunch, coffee date or drinks with your girlfriends, date night, summer dinner al fresco, a picnic at the park and a self-care afternoon. This is one’s for the girly girls, the flirty women, you get the vibe ^-^

After spraying this only once on top of my hand, I kept smelling it throughout the afternoon, even after washing my hands at least 5 times. On me, it lingered for around 5 hours with good Silliage & about 3 more closer to the skin.

I tried my Oriana sample & this one side by side and I Personally cannot smell a difference between the two in the dry down, only the openings are a bit different but that only lasts about a minute or two.

I Had been considering buying Oriana by PDM since I first smelled it last year but then yesterday I tried this absolute gem at my local Zara & my need for this scent has been fixed at a fraction of the price! The resemblance is astonishing and on my skin, this one performs even better!

As for the Love by Killian comparison, I’d say that very much like Oriana, they are sisters but not twins. Love is a bit softer and more marshmallowy, whereas Oriana and Velvet Shadow are a bit more orange blossom prominent, in a good way.

The bottle's cap is a bit too tight but that is the only con i can find in this.

For the price, you truly can't go wrong with it. I recommend you at least try it!
