Chocolate Greedy who?
H&M launched an insane number of new fragrances in 2018. That something decent can come out of it is proven quite successfully by Zara for several years now. So, it's definitely interesting. And when a fragrance has something to do with chocolate, I obviously have to give it a sniff.
My fragrance description for Choc is rather brief. It simply smells, who would have guessed, like - chocolate! Nothing more and nothing less, just pure dark chocolate. But the good kind, with a high cocoa content. Delicious, warm, creamy.
The scent development is absolutely linear. Longevity and sillage are not outstanding, but perfectly fine, especially for the price.
And the similarity I mentioned in the title with Montale's Chocolate Greedy? A bit of clickbait.
Yes, the two fragrances do indeed go in a very similar direction. No, Chocolate Greedy cannot pack its bags. But: If you just want a great chocolate scent and are willing to make compromises on the orange note, the bottle design, and longevity, Choc is absolutely satisfying. For that, it is also significantly more affordable. So, from my side, it's a definite recommendation!
And to quickly throw in another chocolate scent: I find that Choc is also very similar to La Perla's Dark Extacy, even a bit more similar than it is to Chocolate Greedy. And since Dark Extacy is known to be discontinued, Choc can certainly be considered as an alternative.
Chocolate fragrance lovers should definitely grab this one!
