Nice varied resinous blend - bold, rich, spicy
Sampling Aromas de Salazar Labdanum Is My Love Language, a fittingly resinous blend with spicy, sweet, woody, and smoky sides, a bit of a campfire-mixed-with-resins vibe, a little bit of incense, a bit of barbecue, very well put together, starting out a bit sharp but drying down smoother while still retaining a bit of its bite, its edge. It has a DNA reminiscent of both Immortal Lust and Dia de Los Muertos, a resinous commonality, but I think I like this slightly more than the other two, as it’s a little less floral and therefore a little more wearable / in line with my tastes. The standout notes for me are labdanum, frankincense, lavender, patchouli, and guaiac wood. This is an easy recommendation for fans of amber / resinous fragrances, and I think it’s quite great.
LIMLL is priced at $250 for 50ml, on the higher end of the house’s pricing, but the quality and performance are both very strong. It’s sold both on the house site as well as Perfumology.
