Fleurs et Phéromones
A late spring evening in a magical garden, somewhere on the southern edge of the Alps or by the upper Italian lakes… Tall hedges enclose the garden, allowing just a gentle breeze and the scents of the surrounding nature to flow through. The tart lemon cocktail with a hint of mint has lightened my thoughts and lets my feelings wander through my body… At the edge of the garden, proud angelica plants rise up and open their green umbels. In the shade, the last alpine violets bloom, releasing their fragrance into the late afternoon. Outside the garden, the linden and robinia trees are in full bloom; I hear the buzzing of bees as a single light vibration, I can almost feel the hum on my skin with the fine hairs standing up to air, scent, and sound… The sun begins to set, and before it lays down to sleep, it allows all the colors to glow particularly warmly once more. Now the wind carries the aroma of fragrant dry hay from the nearby meadows to me, caressing my neck. A shimmering aura of powdery fairy dust hangs in the air,* or as if everything were wrapped in a bright, velvety fur…
I am here in the garden and waiting, I’ve made myself beautiful for you… Finally, we will meet… Every single part of my body is looking forward to you…
-----
This fragrance transports me to such a garden and exactly the longing love anticipation that has been described in literature since antiquity as “locus amoenus,” a beautiful place, always with metaphors of spring or early summer and a green, fertile place like a garden or a lovely meadow under trees. And it provides the setting for the meeting of lovers. For example, Hartmann von Aue described in the late 12th century in his “Erec” how a knight spends time with his lady in such a garden - indulging in physical love - where the fruit trees bloom and bear fruit at the same time, all the flowers bloom, the grass is fragrant, and the birds sing.
-----
“Fleurs et Phéromones” by Duftkumpels is an Extrait de Parfum based on “Tilleul Friction de Nuit” (d´Orsay). The notes of this classic have been adopted - therefore “Fleurs et Phéromones” is not listed as a standalone fragrance here - but additionally blended with pheromones, here Hedion and Cashmeran, as well as wonderful natural ambergris. In the Duftkumpels webshop, it says that the “Midsummer Night's Dream floral fragrance [was] transported to another dimension with the help of pheromones”; I can only confirm this. The scents from this house are usually not synthetic but based on natural ingredients. Here, the synthetics are extremely well integrated and fantastically used; I do not perceive Hedion and Cashmeran individually, they lightly connect the other notes without blurring them too much, and add that certain soft, bright fur-like quality. The ambergris gradually brings the entire composition to life, as I also know from Annette Neuffer's fragrances.
The top notes are herbaceous-citrusy but quickly give way to the other floral notes. Therefore, it never becomes cloyingly sweet, but the floral aspect consistently retains a fresh, green, tart aura. Hay and vervain add extra spice. The longevity is - likely due to the additional notes of Hedion, Cashmeran, and ambergris - really good.

This review refers to the version from Duftkumpels (Extrait de Parfum).
As only 5 bottles of 30ml of this love elixir were probably made, I consider myself very lucky to have one of them in my collection.

Spring Walk, Now a Bit More Intense
After I really liked the regular Tilleul and consider the scent a good companion for rather calm occasions in spring and summer, Friction de Nuit comes along as a fragrance that smells very similar to the original but is a bit more intense. Even though the term "Nuit" appears in the name, the scent can be used both during the day and in the evening. Because this fragrance is simply excellent as well.

The scent:
The scent is almost as similar as with the regular Tilleul. The green notes of the linden blossoms seem to come through faster and stronger, and the lemon has also become a bit stronger in comparison, making the scent start off a bit more intensely than the regular Tilleul.
The linden blossoms are a bit stronger in the heart note, and the scent smells excellently green. Then come the violets, which make the scent slightly stuffy but also a bit sweeter.
However, the scent is a bit less stuffy here. This means it is less floral. When I say stuffy, it always sounds so negative, but I mean the typical floral scent.
You can also smell the hay here, giving you a feeling of being in a somewhat rural area. The mint is a small difference from the original, and perhaps this makes the scent feel a bit fresher and stronger. In any case, it is great and smells quite natural like all the other fragrance notes here as well.

Longevity and sillage:
The longevity is comparable to the original, but because it smells a bit more intense, it seems to last a tick longer. I would also rate the longevity at about eight hours.
The sillage is still rather subtle, but noticeably stronger than the original scent. This one will be easier to perceive, but still won't leave a real scent trail.

The bottle:
In terms of the bottle, there seems to be hardly any difference when compared to the regular Tilleul. But it must also be said that the other fragrances from d’Orsay use the same bottle. So, it is rectangular with rounded corners, no label, and a trapezoidal, chrome-plated cap. Everything is quite nice and well done.

For this scent, I can essentially say exactly the same thing I already wrote about the first Tilleul: The scent gives you the feeling of hiking on a beautiful, sunny day in summer (or of course in spring) under linden trees, while beautiful plants bloom around you, the warm rays of the sun feel really good, and the chirping of the birds makes you smile, possibly causing any lurking creatures to become really wild. However, you can also use the scent well for evening walks when a cool breeze is blowing, insects start to chirp, and lurking creatures look even more threatening with their glowing eyes!

If you don't analyze the scents in detail, you probably won't notice a real difference, as they are very similar. But I find that Friction de Nuit smells a bit better. It comes across as simply stronger and greener, everything is more intense, and the floral aspect is a tad less stuffy. Additionally, it is sweeter, though hardly noticeable, but it seemed sweeter to me, which might be due to the violets.

Unfortunately, the longevity here is also quite short at about three to four hours, so it then smells more subdued (hence actually about eight hours), but you can always reapply.

It is probably a matter of taste which scent one prefers, but especially for spring and summer, you can't go wrong with either fragrance. However, one should know that these scents are not perfumes for going out, but rather serve as beautiful daytime scents, suitable for walking, etc.

Linden Blossom Dream
I find it quite difficult to describe this fragrance, but since no one has written anything about it yet, I will take the first step. It is a very interesting, multifaceted perfume.

On one hand, it has a beautiful bottle. The base is square and rounds off at the top. The labeling is printed on the heavy bottle, and the metal cap is engraved with the manufacturer's name. It is timeless and classically beautiful. At the bottom of the bottle, the manufacturer's crest is printed, and additional information is embedded in the glass base.

The fragrance itself also has a lot of beautiful aspects. I perceive it as a natural scent. It starts fresh and green; the lemon can be faintly sensed in the background but is not intrusive. The fragrance then becomes sweeter and more floral, with the linden blossom clearly coming to the forefront with its sweet and slightly bitter scent. Then, a herbal earthiness comes into play, which lightly leans towards a woody-spicy note. I think it involves hay, mint, and black locust. All of this merely surrounds the linden blossom and never takes center stage. The scent progression is seamless, making it hard to recognize when the top, heart, and base notes change. In my mind, I picture early summer, an avenue lined with linden blossoms in green; it is warm but not hot, birds are chirping, and bees are buzzing.
I perceive the scent as clean and unobtrusive yet present and not just close to the skin. My friend finds it fruity-spicy and fresh.

The manufacturer recommends wearing the fragrance in the evening after a short massage, which could also be fitting. However, I would rather wear it in the morning after scrubbing myself with a loofah and Penhaligon's Racquets Formula and then starting an active day. But I am more of a person who loves bold, sweet hits.

Large bottle, great scent
Just swapped from the "Souk," to defy autumn (which is STILL almost summer, but will undoubtedly soon find its true identity..)
And to bring the now colorfully leafed linden trees back to bloom.
And to turn the clock back almost half a year.......wow, how THIS SMELLS.
Initially herbal and very citrusy, the fragrance takes off for a long walk along a late spring evening linden avenue.
Ancient trees, their crowns so sprawling that they touch and intertwine in the middle of the path.
A green tunnel, through which sun speckles peek cheekily.
Small cream-colored-greenish flowers send a wonderfully spicy-sweet scent on its journey, which holds relaxation within.
Just meandering along, daydreaming, enjoying a moment of peace on a wooden bench and inhaling the linden scent.
The little "ships" with the beads, in whose center the flower reigns, rustle softly in the evening breeze.
And tell the story of "Tilleul Friction de Nuit."
I wish for beautiful summer dreams for this night (and many more..)
With D'Orsay's lovely fragrance.

Full Moon Veil
The "night version" of "Tilleul" is very, very close to the original. A bit darker, denser, more concentrated, dimmed. But basically still the same linden blossom classic.

Like jasmine, only with more understatement and old-fashioned delight, warmth, softness. Summery, rainy, sultry, stuffy. A relaxed light floral. Almost a romantic myth. Sweaty, misty, green. A spring transformation artist. Just at around 1 AM instead of noon. Nevertheless, of course, not an evening or going-out fragrance. More of a laid-back scent for flower girls and wedding speakers, for forest fairies and lawn mowers, for rain-dream dancers and silly poets. Light gray honey juice in the full moon shimmer.

Bottle: handy & unremarkable
Sillage: noticeable, but quiet
Longevity: 7 hours, maybe a bit more

Conclusion: a slightly darker and more concentrated version of "Tilleul" that I would reach for... if I were more fond of linden blossom. But it's not quite to my taste.
