A perfect day-to-day scent
I have been drawn to Dandy or Not for the longest time. Something about it has intrigued me for a while, and I recently pulled the plug and picked up a bottle of it, and needless to say, I'm extremely impressed! This is a perfect scent for everyday wear, and nearly any occasion. It's classy and sophisticated enough for dressier occasions, but it's extremely inoffensive making it perfect for wearing at the office, or for lazy days at home. It opens with a fairly soft citrus-neroli-tea accord that is extremely well done. After a few moments, the opening fades and a very dry, raw cedar note becomes the main focus. It stays on this cedar note for quite some time, which I found to give it just enough depth and zing to keep it interesting. Once it's fully dry, it almost reverts back to the opening, if such a thing is possible. There is a leather note to it, which contrasts nicely with subtle patchouli and the fruity, soft, floral feeling that lingers as well. The end result is a fragrance that is extremely easy on the nose, but interesting enough to prevent getting bored by it.
This may well be the best fragrance in the entire d'Orsay lineup, and it's certainly a favorite of mine. It's well worth the price, very inoffensive, and one that I will see myself turning to quite often in the coming days. I personally think that d'Orsay deserves more attention in general, but especially with this scent. They make very consistent, high quality products that have mass appeal while staying unique at the same time.
