Your skin but better
I went through a whole sample and couldn’t stop thinking about it. This is the sexiest skin scent I have ever experienced, bar none. This is spending all day in bed with someone you love. This enhances everything about my skin instead of covering it up.
The first accord listed is "powdery" - but I get something creamier and softer, not at all nose-prickling or dusty. The amber and pepper makes my body heat radiate.
The iris isn’t lipsticky at all; instead, it recalls the softness of skin, makes *me* seems softer, somehow.
The jasmine doesn’t smell the least bit animalic or funky. In fact, it barely even smells floral; instead, the sweetness of it heightens the sweetness of my own skin, makes it smell clean and natural.
The cashmeran is doing a lot of work here, I suspect. I bet it’s part of why this stuff lasts for 12+ hours, and I think it must be a major component of the soft, musky, tumbling-around-in-bedsheets vibe (something Ropion does really well, incidentally).
I would generally say I’m not a fan of patchouli but I can’t say I detect it specifically; I guess it just contributes some gentle spice or freshness to the whole composition.
The whole thing really is so much more than the some of its parts and it is so good, so well blended and sensual and sweet, I can’t believe it’s not a million times more popular than it is. I also like that it has a pretty close bubble - this is for me, and one person lucky enough to get close to me. It’s office appropriate and would be interpreted as clean-girl in that setting, but becomes incredibly sensual close-up.
Longevity is insane - sprayed it on around 5pm, smelled it clearly the next morning. Gets sweeter and warmer as it dries down.
