It's really damn good
I heard about this from a friend of mine who begged me to try a sample. He was convinced that once I had smelt it, I would buy a bottle and betted $100 that after a single smell i would want to buy it. Damn he was right.

This stuff is honestly incredible, I have to write up a review on this and i normally dont do reviews.

Paid $300 for this, was worth every penny.

Fabergé peach
From the name was expecting something rawer, but got a well-behaved rosy peach. Around four hours in, the scent flatlined into something that I’d best describe as a vintage floral – like a bouquet that has just started to dry. Wanted some of those velvety, earthen leather notes I usually associate with suede, but couldn’t find it. Rock the Myrrh had far stronger suede notes, despite it not listed as a primary note. But whatever Fleur du Mal is, it smells $ rich $. Not quiet luxury, but very old money.

Longevity: at least 7h on fabric, but I couldn’t take it anymore. At least the DvN collection seems to have staying power built into its collection.

Mental Snapshot: You’re the hottest bitch at the Sotheby’s auction. That rediscovered Vermeer? In the bag. That Qing dynasty yuhuchunping? Consider it snagged. The nouveau riche are muttering things about you. Let them mutter. You pity them, for none of them even own a Faberge egg.

Tl;dr: ornamental, inedible peach.

Non terrestrial, makes you feel like you've discovered another planet (read below)
I sampled various perfumes in a location that had several luxury/high end perfumes on sale. Creed Aventus, green Irish tweed, their exclusive luxury scents like white musk, Guerlain perfumes for men, fragrances from Maison Francis Kurkdjian like the Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait de Parfum. Some smelt really good, others smelt mediocre and a few were underwhelming.

But this...

I was with a friend and as soon as we smelt it, we both looked at each other and didn't really give the lady a chance to speak. "How much?", we asked before proceeding to purchase 2 bottles.

This is one of those scents that you really can't pinpoint to a particular gender unless you REALLY are an experienced perfume connoisseur where you smell perfumes for a living. Even when i approached people who knew an awful lot on the subject of fragrances, upon smelling this fragrance they admitted it was very very good and the funny thing is, all of them asked me what brand this was.

This really is a hidden gem. One compliment I got from someone was "this smells like you're from another planet". I'm a pretty ugly guy, or so i think, and ladies constantly approach me on the street to ask what I'm wearing. I feel like I've found the philosophers stone of fragrances.

The amalgamation of the various notes infused into this elixir give this unearthly vibe, in a positive way.

There aren't many reviews on this one as it is completely new but guys, you seriously seriously need to try and get a sample of this stuff to see what I'm talking about.

The hidden gem
This is one of those hidden treasures that makes people ask you "what perfume are you wearing?" it is a, or rather, it is the suede par excellence. Like when they walk into those expensive designer stores and you get that smell of new, soft suede. The peach gives a bit of liveliness and the osmanthus like this, in this declination, I've never heard of it before. Obviously it's by Quentin, and it's called Fleur du mal, because as Bisch himself says about his creation

I wanted to create a fragrance characterized by contrasts, using osmanthus which has a duality and unexpected quality. It seems innocent but can be very sensual, almost animalistic; this flower, which looks like an angel, can become evil.

Sexy Maleficence
The Dries Van Noten perfume collection is nothing short of spectacular. The overall approach to producing the anthology was considered and beautifully executed. This is evident in the quality of the final product and the overall success, which has an offering to suit all tastes.

My current reining favourites are Soie Malaquais, Vanille Camouflage and Fleur du Mal. Whilst many are familiar with SM and VC, little attention has been given to Fleur du Mal (FDM). The house of Dries Van Noten describes their collection as “An unexpected, rule-breaking collection of genderless Eaux de Parfum that pay homage to traditional perfumery”. In my humble opinion, no perfume encapsulates the essence and nature of this ethos better than Fleur du Mal.
Created by the nose, a rockstar of perfumery that needs no introduction; Quentin Bisch, perfectly encapsulates this notion with his creation.

An impeccably blended work of art, that has been overshadowed by its counterparts, Fleur du Mal, which is translated as ‘Flower of Evil’, presents a paradox of beauty. The scent itself is unambiguous and sexy, with succulent floral osmanthus, which has a slight citric nuisance, juxtaposed by smooth buttery leather. Wearing this evokes the feeling of edgy sexiness and aloof confidence. True to its nature, FDM lasts beautifully on the skin, linear and uncompromising.

A true unisex masterpiece, which both my partner and I have found ourselves reaching for, FMD has fast become a staple in our respective collections.

Soft suede + osmanthus, pretty but does have a bit of “new shoe” smell about it.

Reminds me of pêche mirage but the leather is much stronger, and there is more of a floral aspect. Leather is very strong.
