Qi Nan: Ya Chuan
Qi Nan ya chuan started out as Qi Nan kynam, then for unknown reasons the name was changed to Ya Chuan. Anways, as an ensar fan and frag head I got genuinely interested in finding out more about the Ya Chuan oil. I know Qi nan without Ya chuan was sold for 1500. The new Qi nan ya chuan is being sold for 4,950$. To be fair there was 15 % Eid discount. The Ya chuan edition had 2 grams of ya chuan. This indcates that each gram of ya chuan is 1725 or 1350 after discount . Ok. Now , What's oud ya chuan? Ensar states the following under the Qi nan ya chuan:

Ya Chuan is sunlight yellow, bitter kyara numbness, atop the most elegant woody profile to have ever been distilled by the son of Eve. There’s an elegance and a mindnumbing note that really hits the spot. A sensation that’s more pheromonal than the most sensual musk, more beautiful than the most delicate botanicals. That’s the quality of the wood that went into the boilers you smell, as well as the treatment of that wood in our signature Oriscent style, stripped of all experimentation and techniqueing.

When you craft Vietnamese agarwood à la Oriscent, you get the cleanest-pitched bitter-sweet kinam heart notes that act like head notes echoing from middle to top, lending a sort of dynamic depth and pull to the profile seldom experienced in contemporary oud production.

What better oud to pair the Qi Nan with than the finest bitter medicinal Vietnamese agarwood? And by pair, I mean that, in addition to actual kyara skins inside your bottle, this semi-bespoke edition contains two grams of Ya Chuan to kinami-fy this kodo epitome to the full. https://www.ensaroud.com/product/qi-nan-brunei-kynam/

After reading this I got really intrigued about ya chuan oil. Upon further search I found the follwoing description of oud ROYAL GUALLAM under the sister site of ensar Oriscent site. It was being sold for 2,500 for 3 grams. And this is the description of royal gullam on Oriscent website:

"Royal Guallam is sunlight yellow, bitter kyara numbness, atop the most elegant woody profile to have ever been distilled by the son of man.

So what's the difference between the above two ouds that are identical except for the name? According to the ensar websites: none they are the same one. Except the latter one ya chuan costs 1725 per gram and royal gullam costs 833 per gram. This is all based on the info provided by the esnar website on the same date; not old prices but concurrently.

Can this be the same oud ? Definitely it shares the same description ( copy paste) . So what's going on? I will leave that to each person to decide . But i can fairly say that the 'commercialism' at esnar has taken over ???. Also, the same thing was done for the 1984 eid edition that costs 4500 when the old one that had one gram less of an equal value oud was being sold for 1500.

Again this based on the website with some simple dot connections.
