EO N°1 Ensar Oud 2018 Pure Parfum

Opens animalic and woody. Spicy-dry woods, like freshly cut firewood. Initially the woods, spice and castoreum are sharp, piercing through. Lavender is detectable but very subtle.

The scent evolves slowly into a rich rose heavenly scent. Slightly warm but more so silky, uplifting, powdery smooth bouquet of roses. The animalic-woody aroma still lingers in the background dragging the beautiful roses into depths.

As the scent settles, frankincense and tobacco play a harmonious role together with the Assam oud. The scent transforms back into a dry woody dominant scent but in a totally different way. It’s not spicy-dry and harsh as the opening. The drydown is a confident, rich, smooth oud base with hints of smokiness and leather.

This is a true masterpiece.

This is an amazing perfume with the best real Oud, classic, leathery and very weareable. It opens up with musky notes, lavender and nutmeg. As it starts to dry down taif roses grow up beside jasmine notes, both spinning around a base of Wild Aged Manipur Oud. As time passes, a leathery smell comes up quite slowly turning into a smoth and lovely scent. Unisex, classic and complex perfume with moderate sillage and longevity.

This is a very complex fragrance, it has a wonderfull combination between leather, oud, rose, frankincense, sandalwood, etc. for me smells like pure elegance.
2m of projection, it has +12h Of longevity. A bottle of 50ml lasts for 3 generations

A big thank you to Nick for the sample of "EO N°1 (Pure Parfum) | Ensar Oud / Oriscent" :-) To be honest, I have never dealt with Ensar Oud and with the prices, I'm generally out. But you can give it a try and see if it creates a "WOW effect" for me. There was definitely none. Yes, it certainly doesn't smell cheap and is of high quality, but it's just not my world overall. I let so many people sniff it today and really NO ONE liked the scent. My final rating will probably come out the best in the end. The longevity is really good at around 11 to 12 hours, but the sillage was not overwhelming, though not bad either.

The top note starts off very animalistic and barn-like with mandarins, bergamot, and orange sugar. Beaver musk creates a strong animalic scent, which is accompanied by a bit of lavender. The heart note remains very animalistic with cow barn, oud, and civet. I find the rose aromas to be rather subdued. The base smells very oriental, leathery, and smoky with agarwood, tobacco, and incense.

I still have quite a few samples from Ensar Oud and I'm afraid that in the end, my reviews will really hit me hard...I hope I'm wrong!
