The King Comes (Finally) Home...
Hello everyone,
Today I want to talk about a newcomer in my collection, the Private Blend and what it can do + why it is unique.
Regarding EO's pricing policy over the last few years concerning these fragrances... - it is very, very special and I see no point in wasting further words on it. I just wanted to mention it in passing. The Private Blend was once expensive and nowadays getting one is like finding a "needle in a haystack" and price-wise..., well, let's not talk about that....
What do we have here?
The Private Blend is a musk-based fragrance - with a dark woody oud variety (effect), a timeless perfect rose, a very noticeable blackberry, a bit of black tea (etc.), but in my opinion, the other notes are just a certain peripheral aspect (there are still many, many more unlisted notes).
Effect?
This is actually the most exciting point, because many would think it is terribly - evil and intensely animalistic, but that is exactly what it is not. I know no other fragrance that achieves this so extremely like the Private Blend = it creates a warming and very comforting creamy cloak that feels mysterious and mystical at the same time. This perfection makes it so unique.
People will turn around after you, because most have never experienced anything like this!
Similar fragrances?
There is its "successor," the "Private Blend: Hailam Kilam | Ensar Oud," which has a very, very similar scent profile and effect on/around you. However, the Private Blend is
- rounder
- denser
- deeper
- even better H/S
(But it is also rarer and more expensive)
The Private Blend: Hailam Kilam has been made a bit gentler and tamer and more suitable for everyday use compared to this "bomb." What each person prefers in that regard must be decided for themselves.
This fragrance is truly too beautiful to wear daily or weekly, because such a scent is, in my opinion, only worn on very special occasions and during a specific season (Nov. - Feb.).
If you appreciate the quality that EO offers us and find it worth it (price-wise), then I recommend trying it. Because it is no coincidence that it is one of my top 10 (ever).
I can and could write so much about this fragrance, but with EO fragrances, it is usually the case that one should experience them at least once, and here it really applies extremely. Such a thing must be experienced...
And now, have a nice day/evening or whenever you read this review, best regards, Benny
_______
(Now the same as almost always - because it applies!)
Now to the topic of luxury:
As you can see in part from my profile, I have really smelled many fragrances, and there are fragrances where you can smell a certain (partly) strong synthetic quality, and you quickly realize that some fragrance houses focus more on quantity than quality, and there are some where you can tell "oh come on, let's put in more + better ingredients" and you can smell that at the end of the day.
A brief note on the topic of packaging, bottle, sprayer:
I’ll keep it short: I give an 8 out of 10 in every category, and I know very well that tastes are very different. So, if someone honestly rates it a 6 or lower... - PHEW. Beautiful and high-quality cap, nice timeless bottle design, etc.... so I find it very hard to rate it differently, and I say this not because I like or dislike a brand!
Now a short note on my opinion:
I am not sponsored, influenced by anyone, nor do I receive money or anything else. I approach the topic of perfume as I am, namely honestly; everything else is not my style. My true personal opinion is very VALUABLE to me, and I hope that is noticeable. If I don’t like something, such as packaging, bottle, sprayer, or H/S, I will communicate that too!
