If oud was made easy
When I smelled it at first sight I thought "what the hell is that?".
But then bringing my wrist close to my nose became a natural thing and so its nuances slowly became apparent.
The first thing I smelled was the presence of a woody oud, with smoky attributes, accompanied by a sweet/sticky side that could lead back to ink.
Gradually birch tar becomes present, which is in the right doses something I can appreciate.
In the dry down comes my favourite part, with the oud still present accompanied by a wonderful vanilla.
