Recently in the Sauna
This scent has once again shown me that fragrances can transport you back to certain situations, allowing you to perceive the past environment with all your senses. In this case, it takes me to a beloved sauna in the Spreewald. More specifically, to a dry sauna, 100 degrees Celsius, feeling like 0% humidity, creaking wooden benches, and a crackling fireplace. The skin is instantly dried, the hair becomes straw-like, and the scent of warm, smoldering, aromatic wood fills the air. The scent progression is quite uniform, with hardly any changes. Occasionally, a hint of hay appears in the background. Sillage and longevity are very pronounced on my skin.
I would almost give it 100%, but I am bothered by a certain sweat smell that appears on my skin; the scent becomes more human, which I also noticed with Sel de Vetiver. If I were to be harsh, I would describe it as Maggi seasoning.
