NOT nutella but...

I heard a lot of people describing this as "nutella", even tho I love this perfume, it's absolutely not smelling like it.

BUT - I've been doing a chocolate perfume collection, and absolutely no others can compare to it. This perfume is the definition of the most gourmand "chocolate spread" ever. It's rich, sweet, creamy, buttery. It also has a "smoky" note to it (which is the toast), little salt to balance and delicious hazelnut.

On my skin it's quite different, it smells like a gooey/creamy chocolate, salty butter and nutty.
It’s almost perfect but honestly the scent of the salty butter is a little bit disturbing to me, but doesn't stop me from loving the final mix of the notes.

If you want a true chocolate and gourmand paste, I recommend this one 100%.

Maria cookies anyone?

I'm glad I stayed for the entire ride with this perfume. When I initially spray it smells like an artificial peanut butter and chocolate sandwich. After about 5 minutes the peanut butter fades and I'm left with an artificial chocolate scent. However, after about 15 minutes I begin getting a beautiful slightly chocolatey Maria cookie scent! This Maria cookie smell stays until it completely fades away after a few hours. A wonderfully made gourmand perfume.

Nutella in a nutshell

As almost everyone states, this fragrance reminds me as if Nutella was blended in a bottle. With some minor changes. The first one is that is not as suggary as one would expect with these notes, but more of a dark, intense cocoa. A pinch of salt makes the perfect balance between the urge of bitting your own skin and to erase the idea of washing your arms because of the clinginess such a gourmand coul provoke. If you’re a gourmand enjoyer, this is the perfect fragrance for you, the most realistic experience I had on my perfume journey.

The ideal gourmand = rich chocolate

If I had to describe this fragrance in one word, it would be "the perfect smoothness of chocolate."

A chocolate milk bar with hazelnuts inside

This is probably Jousset's best one (and might be their swan song if I'm being honest). It's not synthetic, the fragrance is well-blended (althoguh I wouldn't say masterfully well done) and it's a very gourmand fragrance that really give off sweet, tasty treats vibes.

Forget about all of the other notes. Chocolate and hazelnuts are the stars (although an argument can be made for the biscuit dough). Chocolate is rich, creamy, milky-like. It smells like a Lindt chocolate milk bar. Hazelnuts are nutty, sweet, and very close in association with Nutella. There's a hint of biscuit dough in the middle which is interesting to smell, but I wouldn't know it was there if I hadn't checked the notes. The drydown becomes a bit more mundane with a somehwat powdery, almost musky drydown as the chocolate softly lingers on the skin.

It smells great compared to all of the other Jousset I've smelled. I will be keeping the sample for now and re-testing it at a later date since I have two gift certificate for a Jousset fragrance that I can combine to buy this one at a very discounted price. Might just give in to the temptation, we'll see!
