The children of the woods
Menthol breath sticks
You were lost in the cold forests of the north.
At this time of year, there's not even much fruit growing there.
(My nose almost completely blocks out the blackberries)
What...
If...
You're not able to hunt?
I pack my backpack and go on a quest.
Alone...
I'm at home here,
A daughter of this very forest,
just as you are its son.
Individual rays of sunlight break through the trees,
warm this uncannily authentic forest floor.
I stop, after hours,
breathe deeply in and out again...
connect with the root network of this ground,
feel the mushrooms...
And then I see you sitting...
in my head at first...
But, I know now where to go...
know you're alive...
You have a remnant of your tobacco, slightly vanilla, with you.
It's foreign here and yet it blends in well.
And then I found you,
sprained my ankle...
Your smile gives warmth,
You knew I would find you,
there in the half-light of the forest,
my brother, my twin,
we are one,
and one with the woods.
I'll radio for help,
we'll take you home and you bathe first in the spruce needle shark bath.....
A rather quiet forest scent for my nose,
with very authentic forest floor,
a light tobacco note,
which I find very wearable.
The menthol note at the beginning is not that heavy.
Only the spruce needle foam bath at the very end
could have been saved.
It is exhorbitantly expensive,
of which a good part probably the
handmade individual pieces of flacons is owed.
